We apologize in advance for all the posts coming your way today. Oh, who are we kidding? You love it. Entertainment Weekly‘s Mandi Bierly caught up with Candice Accola to talk about tonight’s mid-season finale and give a behind-the-scenes peek at how that now-storied two-day shoot of Tyler’s transformation went. Most endearing? Michael Trevino’s reward for minding his diet.
Did the two of you do anything to celebrate when filming was done?
[Laughs] He’s a cookie monster. He’s a total chocolate chip cookie-aholic. He’s shirtless for most of it, and boys being boys, they want to be extra, extra fit for those days. He skipped eating the chocolate chip cookies over and over at lunch. And finally, he was wrapping up that day, and we went to lunch and it was like sugar white chocolate cookies, and those are not the ones that he wanted. So I asked catering if they wouldn’t mind baking him his own chocolate chip cookies. So that was a good celebration. And then production got him a giant pepperoni pizza. Everyone just shoved warm yummy food toward his dressing room, very motherly.

And MTV’s Hollywood Crush has posted more from their Ian Somerhalder interview. So how does Damon really feel about Stefan being trapped in a tomb with Katherine?
“It would seem as though Stefan in this cave away from Elena stuck with Katherine is exactly where he’d want him to be, but he wants to get his brother out of there. I can’t imagine being stuck in there with her,” Ian said. “He needs him. He needs his brother. There are some elements coming to town that are highly problematic to them and that pose a serious danger to everything that Damon loves, and it’s a tough time for him.”
