The Vampire Diaries cast have been named ‘Cast To Watch’ in the 12th Annual Young Hollywood Awards. The ceremony will be held on May 13 (finale day!) at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles. We’ll update with more news on the event when it takes place.
Want to know the beauty secrets behind Elena, Bonnie and Caroline’s looks on the show? What makeup products they use on set? Head of the makeup department for the Vampire Diaries, Beverly Jo Pryor, dishes on their looks along with some general makeup tips of her own over at Examiner.com.
The makeup on the show is excellent.
Beverly: I am so blessed to be working on the show with such wonderful people, that I am really grateful. Everybody, the producers, the writers, all of us that work as a team. Makeup, hair and wardrobe; we all work together. The actors are just phenomenal, they are all just so sweet. I am just so blessed to be on the show. We work long hours sometimes, so it’s so important that we all get along. I love Elena’s character. Not only do I love Elena’s character, I love her. She is just so great and wonderful and so sweet. Just an absolute joy to work with. All of the cast and crew is a joy to work with.
The VRO have more confirmed guests for their Vampire Diaries month: You can catch Steven R. McQueen along with Malese Jow on May 11 at 9pm ET, and Candice Accola on May 19 at 9pm ET.
And on the subject of Ms Accola, Candice is helping to spread the awareness of Lyme disease. Helping her out with this are fellow castmates Katerina Graham and Kayla Ewell. The pair have contributed to a PSA on the subject, of which you can see photos on the Lymenaide Facebook gallery. We’ll definitely be posting up more information on that when we have it, but in the meantime you can head on over to the Lymenaide website to discover more about the disease, painting May Lyme Green, and donating to the cause.
