Julie Plec said that the cure may be the same along the lines of the sun and the moon curse. I don’t think it exists, or even if there is a cure, it’s not for vampism but to bring the dead back to life (not vampires, those who are actually dead, like Anna, Lexi and so on) This way at least Kol will be brought back to life and be included in the spin off series. (does that mean there will be no originals in the main series then? Im sure they can’t film two programmes?) Also having said that, i’m sure there are consequences for bringing the dead back to life (balance of nature that was mentioned in the past) or it’s not a simple case of drink this an they will be cured?

Hmmm….. just a thought!

She seems lovely, but I am still hoping that they start casting some older actors.  We do NOT need another Gossip Girl with fangs.  The Originals needs to be more adult.

 She IS older than the TVD average. I saw her on Homeland and she is gorgeous and a good actor. Still not sure how this pilot can be a part of this season of TVD though.Like, will it be a completely unrelated episode without Elena, Stefan and Damon? So weird.

If they needed a witch I wish they would have brought on Lucy, Bonnie’s cousin. She told Bonnie she would see her again & we haven’t heard a peep out of her. If they wanted a powerful witch, then a Bennett witch would certainly be the way to go! I could see Lucy & Elijah working together. She’s a little bit older & seemed more worldly & mature. Someone you’d believe Elijah would actually associate with.

I find it weird that no article about The Originals features Claire Holt! I mean what’s the point in having a show about the originals if there are only 2 (or maybe just Joseph Morgan, who knows if Daniel Gilies will be full time cast member) originals!? That’s why I was so surprised when they killed off Kol, I was sure to see more of him on the new show.

So if this is Elijah’s witch to help keep Klaus in check, is it just me but does she resemble (her coloring in particular but a little bit of her bone structure too) Elena?  Purposeful casting choice?  I wonder…

This will be the downfall of VD…what will VD be left with? Elena whining between the brothers? Oh, S5 should be fun.

You really are a fan of Lucy aren’t you? LOL, the way she swept off at the end of “Masquerade”…she was pretty cool and she could do the hairflip just as nicely as Elijah, yeah they would be a perfect vampire-witch team…Unfortunately she never turned up again. I don’t know the actress they’ve casted.

I actually think this is going to be made to take Klaus away from TVD without killing him of making many of Joseph’s fans angry. 
I’m on the “No Klaus on TVD, and bring the characters back a bit to seasons 1 and 2″ team. I miss that. 

I actually lost interest when Klaus came into the picture… I think this could be a very good opportunity for TVD, getting themselves back on track with the core of characters that were there to begin with. Develop then the way they were being developed back in seasons 1 and 2. Those were truly amazing, story-telling wise, character development wise, so on and so forth. The Originals could be a great chance to explore more characters in a more efficient way. 

@Wednesday75, I like Lucy too..she seems like a good fit for Original casting but then again she did say to Bonnie that she was done dealing with vampires.
