As a Grad Student Vanessa would be the perfect age for Damon. After all he transitioned into a vampire around age 24. Vanessa needs to leave Damon alone. He belongs with Elena! I am totally a Damon/Elena fan. Unfortunately, Vanessa will probably be attracted to Damon and since Elena is still with Stefan, Damon will probably go for it. Although, Mason Lockwood would also be around the right age to hook up with Vanessa. He would be a strong possiblity. Alaric needs to stay with our sweet Aunt Jenna. They are adorable together.

If there is a romance, she will probably hook up with Mason or Alaric. I’m predicting a triangle between Alaric, Jenna, and Vanessa.

Then there will be some bizarre twist, where she hooks up with Jeremy. I read spoilers that the show has a very suprising new love interest for Jeremy that would shock people. The creators kept hinting that they are worried about being able to pull it off. Jeremy has a thing for older, taken women. Both Vicki and technically Anna were also older than him. He doesn’t care if they are attached to another man or not, because he is selfish. Teen shows have gone in that trashy direction before. They went there with Gossip Girl and most famously, Dawson’s Creek.

I’m not a fan of May-December romances btw older women and young boys but I would not be suprised if that is the new romantic twist. They keep implying that Jeremy’s new love interest might cause a lot of drama and it is supposed to be controversial. I predict Jeremy’s new love interest might be Vanessa or Caroline. I can totally see him stealing Caroline from Matt. Then the audience will resent victim Matt instead of criticizing Jeremy, like they did with Tyler and the torrid triangle with Vicky. Steven stole Candice Accola in real life while he was also dating somebody else. I’m just pissed how he got away with that affair and most fans don’t know about it. In fact, most people will never find out the truth about that. Steven is alot like his character Jeremy. He acts like he is so sweet when he is really a selfish jerk underneath.

I would love Jeremy to hook up with Tyler but that is not going to happen. The homoerotic subtext, chemistry, and interesting dynamic is there. They probably won’t go there.
Male bisexuality has not been properly explored on mainstream American t.v. It would be interesting if there is a Jeremy curse, where all of his girlfriends die. I would not mind seeing Caroline gone. She is shallow and annoying. Candice is so amateurish with her acting. They might even have a controversial twist where Jeremy hooks up with Katherine.

I’m not a Delena shipper but the show probably is not going to mess with that triangle too much for now. Damon will flirt/hook up with other girls but Elena will be always be his romantic focus. Poor Stefan. I just hope they do not bastardize Stefan’s character to make Delena happen. They better not make Stefan OOC by making him cheat or do something incredibly evil so people will root for Elena to get with Damon ( who is evil). I think they will hint at a qudrangle with Damon, Katherine, Stefan, and Elena but it will mostly be Damon/Katherine. They are going to drag the triangle out. Elena might be attracted to Damon but she loves Stefan. I just hope they don’t turn Elena into a slut like Rory or Felicity.
