Totally disagree about the show being totally Damon. I thought it was totally supernatural plus having much more Caroline and Tyler in focus, than Damon. Surely Damon did his “development” as the writers say (and his punishment or as they state it: the lessons he has to learn). But we also saw a growing Stefan halfway season 2, handling things, taking charge. But surely we had a hell of episodes dealing mainly with witches and warlocks, the Originals, the Curse, the werewolves… Not much about a love triangle.

my condolesence as well. Don’t know how old you are now but when I was about 17 I lost my uncle, not like loosing a mother, but we were very close. Also being a very torn, angry and upset teenager at that time it was Lestat who totally took hold of me. So I know exactly what you mean when talking about “but he’s only a character” and still they live and breath within you. He is important to you. You can cling on to him. It is good you have him, he’ll help you. Just keep on going. Even if they decide to have a season 3 without Damon – which I just don’t believe is going to happen – you have him in your heart and mind. And it also will get better eventually. Being almost 41 now and very happy, but not knowing how I survived between 17-27, I can tell you it all works out in the end :)

Now I’m crying again. Just the mention of Damon not being in season 3 makes me cry.

But I thank you for your comment. I’m 22 years old now, my birthday was recently, April 15.

I really hope that he survives. Because if he don’t, I don’t know what I’ll do. If I’m already this emotional now, I can’t imagine how I’ll be if it turns out that in the end of As I Lay Dying, Damon is no longer alive.

Ok, seriously…jokes over. Where is Bonnie? I want Bonnie to throw/kick Gretta’s ass all over that forest. Elijah…maybe he has his brother Klaus/vampire/wolf by the throat. Holding him down ringing the life out of him. Wow…got kinda carried away there. LOL

I’ve seen you post this in other areas as well, and I’m not sure that I’m understanding. I didn’t find the season to be to heavily Damon centered, no more than last season. This season was kind of crazy, and a little chaotic, but I found there was a lot more of the other characters like Caroline and Tyler. They also had quite a few new guest stars brought in along the way (Mason, Rose, Jules). To help me understand better, can you give me some examples of what you mean when you say the whole season was all about Damon?

Oh, for heaven’s sake, Damon is one of three MAIN characters! He will NEVER die [for good]! IF – we imagine for one mili-second – it happens, the show is dead. It’s not Damon show of course, I agree with that [for me it's more like Alaric show lol] but just to be logical, if anything happens to Damon, they will lose a great part of the audience. No one in their right mind would ever do it! they would never turn it into SE soap opera

Poor Damon, don’t let him die – doens’t make much sense. They will make us freak out for 1-2 epiosdes and then a miracle will happen

That definitely looks like Elena’s hand on Damon’s Jacket in that last instant that we see him, lying over her it seems in this video clip… he has a look of rage on his face like he’s going to charge at someone… O.O she’s obviously not dead if she can still hold onto his jacket… but still, it looks like he’s going to have it out big time with someone O.O

If they leave me thinking that Damon is dead for season 3, and I don’t mean from the werewolf bite, I mean from worse!!, I will go maaaaaaaad!!!!! Who agrees? >.<

Who else thinks that Elena needs to lie down with a nice big cup of tea in her bath tub (if it’s Damon’s bathtub – better :D) and have a good old soak (salts and rubber ducky n all) and really take the time to think about the years events, and which brother she’s got the hot’s for most???

I mean we all saw her eyeballing Damon’s bed… come one… the idea is definitely creeping into her mind ;)

Yeah, that will definitely happen – so that they could make these 4 month totally torturous! But at the same time, everything seems too simple and straightforward now – which makes me think that the cliff-hanger and the rest of the events will be totally unexpected :S

You also need to realise that the network will not allow the writers to kill of one of its main characters, when so much of the storyline and the show revolves around the love triangle that they have spent 2 seasons building. It hasn’t reached the climax of it yet, therefore no dead damon. It’s too much of a risk, why would they jeopardies a successful show like that? No mater how you look at it damon has a huge fan base, and killing him could ruin the show.

What would be the new story line? Another love triangle? Him, elena and katherine? The majority of TVD fans are women, and seeing 2 girls and a guy in a love triangle sounds much more like a mans ideal viewing to me. Either that or she turns, he dies and her and stefan live happily ever after? I wouldn’t be that interested in watching season 3 if that was the case, sounds a bit boring.

If you look back on other shows they do kill of characters but rarely do they kill the main/favourite ones. Dawsons creek, they killed of Jen not joey or pacey or dawson, The O.C they killed of Marissa not fan favourites Seth, Summer or Ryan, One tree hill they haven’t killed of anyone integral (although some have left), fan favourite means your sticking around.

Realistically if they kill of damon they’re idiots and as t.v channels rely on advertisers that rely on viewer numbers to make money, he’s going nowhere.

Obviously she was looking at Damon’s bed so she can imagine what it’d be like to sleep in his bed when she goes to sleep at night. ;)

Unfortunately, I think it’s Jenna. She doesn’t have much of a story line going. It would have been cool if she turned into a “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” kind of a personality. She and Alarick would have been able to kick some ass together.

I find it interesting that in a recent episode, Isobel burnt herself via sunlight. When she did, she pulled off her sunlight protecting necklace, which Elena then kept (she showed it to Stephan in a later scene). When I first saw this my initial reaction was, “She’s going to turn!!!” Awful convenient time for her to have such a piece of jewelry… Plus, in all of the released photos from “As I Lay Dying” Elena’s neckline is not visible, it is hidden by her hair or her coat or the angle. Could this be an attempt to hide the necklace and not give away her newfound Vampism? Perhaps, perhaps!

John is the one who is going to die. If you look at the episode stills for The Sun Also Rises he is wearing his ring and then at the end of the long promo when Damon slams him into the wall you see his hand and there is no ring. He wears it on the left hand in the pics. So i think that he gave it to Jenna so she is not realy dead and will not turn into a vampire.
