And what the hell is going on with Somerhalder’s godawful posture and body language? He looks like he has hooves, his face appears Photoshopped to high hell (that or way too much makeup), and his arm looks like it’s just… dangling awkwardly. Did someone just go Photoshop-happy or what? Good LORD.
I won’t even bother commenting on Nina Dobrev. *makes faces*

Ooookay. I love Ian. I think he’s delicious. But that picture? Is not the most flattering picture of him in existence. It’s almost like the photographer caught him just as he was about to sneeze. XD
Wesley… he looks far too intense. If he keeps it up, he’ll strain something vital.
Dobrev? Nothing wrong with the picture of her, standard pretty girl pose.
Really, it’s just not the best photo ever from a technical standpoint as isn’t flattering to either of the guys. If it were a shot of mine, it would have been chucked in the trash pile. Hopefully we’ll be getting some much better shots and things tomorrow. :)

I think that is the issue with this, and the other promo pics I’ve seen. There is nothing really WRONG with them. But there is nothing amazing either. Everything just seems to be ticking the standard boxes. I’m not sure if I really should be disappointed in this, given what we already know of the show. But, I really did *want* to expect more.

I am in love with Ian Somerhalder, but that’s a kind of awkward picture of him–he looks uncomfortable there, and he’s too serious and straight to be Damon. He should’ve been leaning against a tree.
I kind of imagined Stefan’s face as thinner and straighter, and not so round.
And what happened to the Salvatores’ uber-pale skin?? Sorry, WHITMORES. >:(

What’s wtih Wesley’s facial expression? Seriously, he’s going to hurt himself if he keeps trying that hard to look…like whatever he’s trying to do. >.<
The other two are fine. Hot Ian, pretty gal. Even if Elena’s not blonde…I don’t know what Wesley or Nina has been in recently, hopefully they’re amazing actors. With the stunted and mutilated script lines they’ve made from the original books, they’re going to have to shine like no one’s business to attract book-fans to the show.

Ok Elena isn’t blonde? Ian doesn’t look anything like Damon and Stefan don’t get me started. Couldn’t they have gotten at least that right? *sigh* It’s going to be incredibly difficult to get the loyal book fanbase to like this one.
