Thanks to KryptonSite Network for the heads up, we’ve now got a full-size, high quality variation of the picture used in one of the Love Sucks banners from back in June. Stefan and Damon have had a costume change, with Stefan waving goodbye to the plaid shirt and wearing something we think is definitely more in keeping with the impeccable sense of Salvatore style.
We’re especially pleased to finally have a close-up look at Stefan and Damon’s lapis rings in order to appreciate all the detail, including the little ‘S’ for ‘Salvatore’ in the middle of both. It also has to be said that the crow (which is the iconic animal in the book series) perching on Elena’s knee is also filling us with immense glee. ;)

Well, in the footage that’s been released, the crow and Damon seem to be separate entities. HOWEVER I think we might have a surprise in store on that front. I’ve been wondering since the pilot shoot if they might forgo any transformation effects in the pilot to save time and money, and then if the show was picked up, sort that effect later. They DO look really photoshopped, and I’m loving the poster-y dreamy effect it has! I don’t think brothers fighting over a girl is so ridiculous… not any more so than a vampire and a shapeshifter, or a good guy and a bad guy, or a mortal and a supernatural vying for the same girl. Pretty common themes for these types of thriller/romance books, in my experience. Glitterati(Quote)

Well, seems to me Damons ring changed its location several times from first poster till now…
