Ian Somerhalder is featured in the November issue of August Man and Just Jared has a slew of photos and choice quotes from the accompanying interview.
On his ideal role: “The one I’m doing right now, actually.”
Even the geeks are at it now! GeekSugar picks the newest gadgets that Stefan Salvatore should own, including a MacBook Pro, a Buster Brown Box Camera, a Luxeed Dynamic Pixel LED Keyboard (Vee note: WANT!), a BlackBerry Storm 2, and (our favourite) a Book and Gadget Vault. Snazzy!
Kayla Ewell graces the October cover of Salon City’s BE! (Beauty Entertainment) magazine:
During her Beauty Entertainment interview Kayla reveals, “Our series is filled with love, mystery, sex and an unquenchable longing for something that’s just over the other side. That is the allure of the vampire.” Famed Hollywood photographer John Russo shot Ewell for BE!’s cover and feature.
According to MagXone, Nina Dobrev is featured on Elle Bulgaria’s November 2009 cover. Thanks to the Fashion Spot forums for the cover image, though additional confirmation of the cover would be rad.

Videography talks to Retrofit Films co-founders Chris Hanada and Tanner Kling about A Darker Truth, the Vampire Diaries webisode series.
In conjunction with the Web series’ director of photography, Fred Schroeder, the Retrofit team decided to use two different cameras to provide these two different looks, so that viewers would be able to distinguish immediately between what was supposed to be the product of a character’s video camera and those shots that were designed to look like objective coverage of the events that transpire.
