Mr. Ian Somerhalder is featured in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly and he offers up some amusing personal and pop culture tidbits. Top Chef, Taylor Swift, Bret Michaels, Weekend at Bernie’s, and Stephen Colbert all mentioned on the same page – impressive. Thanks to Arista over at MediaBlvd for the scan! Ian in Entertainment Weekly

Fancast has an interesting quote from Kevin Williamson (buried in a post-Haunted piece):

So how much of the show does Williamson have planned?

“We have it mapped out for the first season and we pretty much have it mapped out for the second. A lot of that comes from the book,” he said. “We have a great last moment of the first season and we’re building towards it.”

Oh, to be a fly on the Writers’ Room wall…

Wow, that entire interview was hilarious. I love Ian! Wants to be as cool as Stephen Colbert (don’t we all?), hates Taylor Swift…love him. Yo, Edward, I’m happy for you, and I’ma let you finish, but Damon is one of the best vampires of all time! ONE OF THE BEST VAMPIRES OF ALL TIME! Sorry, couldn’t resist. ;)  (Quote)

Is it wrong that what I got out of this was that Bret Michaels has a book coming out?  (Quote)

I hate to break it to Ian, but no 80s hair metal band bio will ever come close to touching The Dirt: The Autobiography of Mötley Crüe. Or Zodiac Mindwarp’s F*cked By Rock. Both of which made me question the purpose of the human race.  (Quote)

That makes me excited! “A lot of that comes from the books”, “great last moment of the first season and we’re building towards it”. Considering what he said about killing off main characters, I can only suspect offing Elena in the river but who knows?  (Quote)

The interview was hilarious. I LOL @ him being compared to Chace Crawford and his complaint that is Chace who looks like him cause he’s older haha  (Quote)
