Ian Somerhalder has made a PSA on behalf of the St. Tammany Humane Society to help save the Louisiana state bird, the brown pelican. The nesting grounds for these birds are under threat from the recent Gulf oil spill, and many pelicans need shelter until their homes are safe again. You can donate to the cause here.
