We’re taking it easy over the holidays (actually, we’re in the middle of designing a new website, so sorry if we’re a bit slow with news over the next few weeks). That said, two tidbits to make you smile. BlackBook has a fantastic and candid chat with Ian Somerhalder about a “Damon seduces Katherine” playlist – his personal pick of eight songs to score the deed. His fantastic taste in music aside (Deerhunter’s “Desire Lines” – swooooon), I wish everyone talked about music like Ian does here.
Belle & Sebastian’s “I Want the World to Stop.” Remember Modern English’s “I Melt with You”? I used to listen to that one with my brother on the way to our preppy Catholic school. This song is kind of like that. It sounds happy, but then Stuart Murdoch starts singing about “winter disorder,” which sounds dismal. To escape that, there’s nothing better than warm sheets and a beautiful woman on your naked body.
READ IAN’S IMPRESSIONS FOR ALL EIGHT SONGS OVER AT BLACKBOOK. But here’s a handy list of links to listen to/purchase each of his picks online:

Entertainment Weekly name-checks Nina Dobrev as a Breakout Star of 2010 in the December 24/31, 2010 issue, which also happens to feature Ian Somerhalder in its celebrity montage on the front cover. Click the images to see bigger versions in the Gallery.

And while we already blogged photos from Nina Dobrev’s feature in InStyle‘s January 2011 issue, we’ve added a scan of the brief interview that accompanied the spread to the Gallery. We’ve also added proper scans of Nina’s feature in the October/November 2010 issue of Girls’ Life and Steven R. McQueen’s feature in Vanity Fair.
