Julie Plec has been spilling some beans to TV Guide Magazine about the second half of the season of the Vampire Diaries (which seems oh-so-far away right now!):
What’s happening when Diaries opens its pages again in January?
Our first episode back is a very Damon and Elena-centric story. The two of them go off on a little adventure and bond in a way she didn’t think they were capable of. Having left her necklace behind with the vervaine, the question is: is Damon taking Elena along of her own free will or is he controlling her to enjoy the experience. Also, Gina Torres (Firefly, 24) guest stars as a witch that Damon goes to visit.

The overnight ratings are in for “The Turning Point”, with a grand total of 3.7 million viewers. While the figures may be down, they’re still really good. Don’t forget the show was up against the New Moon première, and so lower ratings aren’t unexpected for the Vampire Diaries given the target audience is the same. We’ll see what happens when the DVR figured come in.

If she’s freaked out by being identical to Katherine, since out of the two brothers, Damon is the one who is still in love with Katherine.
What? Damon lied to Elena all the time. Elena specifically asked Damon what was Katherine like and how did she die (or that she was even dead at) and he lied and made-up this story about being descendants from 1864 Salvatore Brothers. He lied about home movies of Baby Stefan. He manipulated Caroline to heard gossip about Stefan. There was vague death treat to her E:I’m not dead D: Not yet. I’m sure I missing examples. okay as much as i have tremendous love for Damon, there’s just no way she’d ever really be interested a coldblooded killer who stalked her friends (fed and influenced them), and especially turned Matt’s sister Vikki into a vampire!!! What is Elena thinking???!!! No matter what fans say, she and Stefan were meant to be together, just like i have a hot suspicioun that Damon might show more interest in Elena’s best friend Bonnie!!!! I’m surprised that the ratings are as high as they are considering the New Moon premiere and considering it was 4.2 million last week. Likely the DVR numbers will be higher for this episode. killerchopsticks(Quote)

Totally just thought of that Bonnie scene now. Stefan saved her life and Damon would have left her for dead. Blown-up talisman or not, that’s pretty bad if Elena turns a blind eye to it.
Plus at least within the story, Stefan is 17. Granted he’s 17 since 1864, but that whole prevert aspect to their relationship I’ve read in cast and crew interview would be even worst with Elena and Damon, since he’s 20-something dating a high school girl. I didn’t mind it with Caroline because it’d be different with Elena. Actually the age of consent in Virginia is 18 so even a 20-something Damon has broken the law. Johanna(Quote)

You don’t know much I am fangirling!!! Julie’s hints basically confirmed that Elena will become a vampire. She’s the only female in the book series to become a vampire. :D Considering the accident, I believe all along that she’ll be killed in the same matter as in the books (Kev Williamson hinted this earlier). She’ll go through another car accident and this time, she won’t survived. It will make it effective because it wasn’t that long ago that she was in the accident and will be extremely traumatic. It’s going to be intense
And yes! to more Damon and Elena. I love their bickering. Fun stuff.
Also, people have to realize relationships aren’t set in stone (and this applies to all the characters). Things change sometimes. Just because they got together, doesn’t necessarily mean they’re here to stay. killerchopsticks(Quote)

I think what she’s getting at is that Damon doesn’t have the kind of personal relationship with Elena that Stefan does. Damon evading the truth or telling a bunch of smaller lies doesn’t equal having the person you love keep something very big from you. I know Stefan says he is over Katherine, but why does he keep that picture of her out in the open for easy access? The minute he met Elena, that picture should have been buried. I want Elena/Stefan, but they obviously have to figure this out. MayflowerGirl(Quote)

In the long we run, we all want Stefan and Elena to be together, but for now I think it’s about time we had more Elena/Damon moments. I really think she’d begin to find him intriguing, especially since Stefan basically kept something HUGE from her and they’re supposed to be “in love”.
Though from Stefan’s point of view, how would you go about telling someone that they look exactly like your former lover? They’d probably freak out. Jade(Quote)

OMG noooooooooooo!!!!! i don’t want elena to become a vampire!!! first they kill off vikki way too early in the series and now they’re going to ruin the leading lady??!!! i know at one point she becomes a vampire at one point BUT i also know she becomes human again with powers and more appealing blood!!! i really hope she doesn’t stay a vampire, that will ruin the whole concept of the series and i love this series!!!! stefan + elena = boring, they just soo deppressed, and strangely I don’t even feel they were deppressed, its like, flaaaaatttttttttttt… even their scene in eps 10 didn’t have any spark at all.
damon + bonnie = not gonna happen, unless the writer want it to happen. damon tried to kill her, she scared of him. The deal is broken off, so she’s practically a meal for him.
elena + damon = fireworks, it’s gonna be a blast, but it won’t last long. unless elena is becoming a vampire. but hey, is that stefan spying in the dark with sad, longing eyes? boohooo..

They need a gay character! Perhaps Tyler Lockwood, i feel that guy is a good actor but his part on the show has been so boring thus far! It would be a great story arc because of the dynamic he has with his dad! nick(Quote)
