Hot off the press, via the LA Times:
“Vampire Diaries” is the first CW series to land a pickup for fall.
05/18 10:46AM EST: Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood Daily is confirming that the show has been picked up.
Keep in mind that the CW will not OFFICIALLY confirm this until Thursday.
05/18 11:17AM EST: Kevin Williamson says, “It’s not picked up yet. We’re all hopeful. But no official word.” Keyword: official.
05/18 1:49PM EST: Nikki Finke has updated her post: CW Denying ‘Vampire Diaries’ Picked Up – Yet – Well, I just heard from the network that the answer is not yet. (The Los Angeles Times also jumped the gun…)
