Wow. The January 21st episode of the Vampire Diaries is chock full of new faces – Noah, Lee, Bree, and now Isobel. According to the Ausiello Files Mia Kirshner has joined the cast as Alaric’s “sweet-yet-dangerous” wife, Isobel, and will make her debut in “Bloodlines”. Mia has appeared in The L Word, 24, and Paul Wesley fans will recognise her as his older sister, Ruby Cates, from Wolf Lake.
Is it January yet?

Wow, two actors from Wolf Lake?! This is awesome! I hope Paul and Mia have scenes together, they were so perfect as siblings in Wolf Lake! I really wish that show could have lasted longer. At least have given us closure instead of being canceled on a dozen cliffhangers! Emma(Quote)

Alaric really should have known bad things were going to happen – Mia Kirshner specializes in playing characters that get killed, I swear.
That said – can we get some Katherine Moennig up in here? Her show was just cancelled and we can have a Young Americans reunion. Vee(Quote)

I cant stand all these NEW CHARACTERS and NO Meredith.. WTH? can you imagine how near perfect the show would be if it had Meredith?? Its pretty good now and I really dont give a rats who they bring in later and what special guest will be playing what unless they FREAKIN cast a MEREDITH already CEDWARD(Quote)
