Now that By the Light of the Moon has aired, Michael Trevino is able to get even more specific about Tyler’s ordeal on Thursday night, and does just that in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. It’s a fascinating read that really makes you appreciate that Michael went through just as much as Tyler did. Kudos for an outstanding performance from Michael, and also to Candice Accola who was there through it all with him. On top of that, Michael also drops a few hints and teasers about what to expect from Tyler’s storyline in upcoming episodes.
What was the most difficult moment to shoot for you?
I think it was the last scene of the episode for me, when Caroline comes back, and I’m back in human form. That was the last scene that we shot of the whole transformation, and by then, I was just spent. I was just done. I was just exhausted. It was really hard to get there emotionally for what that scene needed at that point.
On the subject of Tyler and his transformation, Julie Plec tells TV Guide about how mythology is getting personal on the Vampire Diaries now:
“One of the things we had to do was make the mythology as personal as we could,” Plec says. “In the beginning it was just folklore legend. The sun-and-the-moon curse didn’t really have an impact on our heroes. It was just informative, but it had a direct and very profound [effect] on how Tyler’s journey was going to work itself out.”
Ian has made it on to the Cosmopolitan Top 20 Hottest Guys of 2010 list. Pretty sure he should be sharing that list with his Vampire Diaries cast mates, because we think our cast have most of the other guys on that list beaten in the hotness stakes. ;)
Finally, congratulations to the winner of our A Visitor’s Guide to Mystic Falls giveaway in partnership with Smart Pop Books. Isabel Torres will be the new owner of the journal and necklace featured on the cover, as well as a copy of the book. Enjoy!
