The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesFive Four has chosen Michael Trevino as its “Look of the Week” and in addition to some slick photos, Michael fills out a questionnaire (“Occupation: The wolf on Vampire Diaries“) for the site’s blog. Check it out over at the Five Four blog.

TV Guide’s Mega Buzz has an interesting snippet from Katerina Graham about what fans can expect in the next few episodes of Vampire Diaries Season 2:

When will we get more backstory on The Vampire Diaries? — Maxine
NATALIE: An upcoming flashback to 1864 will give Elena a new perspective on her sibling suitors. Before then, though, expect a visit or two from the Grim Reaper. “A lot of people are dying,” Katerina Graham tells us. “Not, like, too many, where it’s like, ‘Why are all these people dying?’ But a couple of important characters are going to go.”

I look forward to getting more insight into the Salvatore brothers’ background.

yaay I’m so happy Michael Trevino is getting some recognition, his performance was phenomenal in the last episode (y)

and yesss more flashback episodes!! wonder what the nature of Elena’s
“new perspective” will be though…. *-)

  • Damon’s girl

I am really hoping that the flashback will show us what happened to the boys after they were turned. I want to know how it was that Stefan acted. The whole “ripper” story has been going around for a while. I want to know about it. How long he was like that for. What he was really like on human blood b/c I have the feeling that he was way worse than Damon. I hope that is what they are talking about. I will be very excited if that is what they are talking about. I really hope it is. Elena doesn’t know that part of the story yet. Damon even said she said didn’t when they were going to rescue her in Rose.

I’m excited to understand more of the Salvatore brothers’ backgrounds. Specially Damon’s seems as I’m biased. A couple important characters are being offed! i wonder who? and whether it’ll cause heartache in its wake? I’m truly dreading this.

We all know Stefan has a dark past and he to overcome the inherent evil nature of vampires. I am just afraid Damon fans will mislabel Stefan as evil and ignore his core personality by acting like Damon is morally superior by ignoring all of Damon’s behavior. Some people love to bash Stefan to prop up Damon. We know Stefan has tried his best to redeem himself and have an access to humanity. At his core, he has a good heart & soul and tries to do the right thing, unlike Damon.
Stefan is not perfect and being a vampire, there will be shades of gray. It is annoying and hypocritical for fans to trash Stefan or Bill for mistakes and darkness in their past but then call them “boring” for trying to be good guys and being fiercely devoted to the women they love. Yet people basically forgive and overlook all of Damon and Eric’s narcissism, evil behavior, and recent wrongdoings that hurt Elena or Sookie. That those cool, bad vamps put their friends in danger or even tried to kill them.

Michael was awesome in the last episode. The Tyler were and Caroline storyline has been my favorite so far for Season 2. I actually always found Michael to be very talented and I was interested in Tyler’s arc from season 1 because I always viewed him as the misunderstood, multi-layered jock with issues due to his family, curse, and how people treat him like dirt with not much of a support base.

As for Katerina’s hints about who will die, it better not be Tyler or Matt! I predict it will be Rose, Luka ( it is a shame because I loved his storyline and potential with Bonnie but he has to die or be villified to prop the terrible, ill-suited Boremy affair), Jonas, and maybe Elijah. I heard Uncle John comes back, maybe he will die. I hope they don’t kill of Katherine this season, there is a lot more story potential there.

I predict Jenna, Alaric, and some other main characters will die in the future but not this season.

One of Yahoo’s Top Shows of 2010:

“The Vampire Diaries” (The CW): There are enough jaw-dropping plot twists and turns in one episode of “The Vampire Diaries” as there are in most shows’ entire season, and that’s what makes the CW hit addictive TV. Equally well-written and well-acted (we’re talking about you, Ian Somerhalder!), the supernatural drama is clever, shocking, fun, and totally swoonworthy. Completely underrated, the series deserves more attention from viewers and critics alike.
