Via SciFiWire, some new quotes from Paul Wesley during the TCA’s Vampire Diaries session in Pasadena last week. He talks about the show’s stunt work, the lack of intensive make-up, those (highly anticipated) 19th century flashbacks, and provides even more insight into the conflicted nature of Stefan Salvatore.
But just because he’s got a crush on Elena doesn’t mean he’s necessarily a sweetheart. “No, absolutely not,” Wesley declared. ‘No way. He’s a vampire. He is constantly struggling with the dark side. He’s constantly eager, and he has a need to feed on human blood. It’s constantly there. It’s not easy for him not to do it. I’m making Stefan have anger, a temper, but passion and love and tenderness toward Elena. But he’s vicious and violent. He loves her, and he’ll die for her, but he’s a violent creature.”

I think that this was a bloody good article. I actually like that Paul is kind of changing that in Stefan. Well, not that its really changing, but at least he knows how Stefan’s emotions are, and aside from that, I think that it weill be good. No offense, but we had a lot of the self masochistic lion, its time we got one that is still rough around the edges.
