The New to TV blog (“the best and worst of new TV shows”) has posted their take on The Vampire Diaries pilot.

All in all, the review is extremely positive and emphasizes the “great” supporting characters. The entire thing is pretty spoilerific for those who’d rather not know too many details (and the reviewer seems confused about certain characters and how they’re related to each other, so don’t go having a heart attack – unless we’re in for some massive twist).

   well ir’s the 1st time i write here… so 1st of all hi!! m from Peru and love the vampire diaries they’re ameazong… i was reading this and i one part it says that stefan helps ellena when mr. tanner is bothering her in classes ’cause that huppends but instead of elena he helps Bonny but i guess that if they are going to make them fall for each other since the begining… well anyways i can´t wait for the first episode this septeber… i’ll need to find it online cause i don’t know when it comes to latin american channels… :(  jenniffer(Quote)

   I’m hoping that if Meredith is in the show that Alaric will still be showing up later, personally. Though it’d be easy on the eyes if this Mr. Tanner stuck around for a little while. (Provided he’s not recast – woe!)  Vee(Quote)

    I wish we knew what to tell you as far as air dates in Latin America. Hopefully the show will be a hit and they’ll get it out internationally fairly quickly – which is looks very likely at this point. :)  Vee(Quote)
