Too bad the audio was cut short because Ryan’s interview continued.   So many people have been saying Ian and Nina have broken up, but she addressed that in her interview this morning. “Everything is going well. We’re good.”   Hopefully that puts those rumors and accusations to rest.

Whoa!  Multiple main character deaths this year? One or two for sure!  That is certainly worrisome.

My predictions: Bonnie, Tyler and maybe Jeremy, especially if he becomes a true hardcore vampire hunter.

    Anyone else have a prediction?

  • Iansfan

…. do you really think Bonnie is about to die?  She is the only witch around and that would cut her storyline before it even begin properly. Same with Jeremy. Tyler, I don´t know maybe he dies. What about Rebekkah or Matt. He is easy to kill but stands up for his friends as if he was invincible.

  • lolalovestvd

    Damon dies

  • whoneedsthecullens

No way. He is the reason a lot of the fans are watching the show. He is one of THE three main characters. They just can’t let Damon die. Who will get all the amazing one-liners? Who will be seen with his shirt buttoned open? Who will be at the grill, keeping the  barmaids busy???? Who will stand by Elena when Stefan goes back to being a ripper?
Maybe in the series’ finale. But not before that.
But I am really frightened to name someone, maybe then the character will be jinxed????

  • lolalovestvd

Maybe not, but I think so…

  • dman

I have a feeling that Caroline is going to die. I don’t know, but I just have that sixth sense. Other than the main three, I think her death would have the most impact on the fans. Everyone loves her, and her character has had a pretty good deal of development so far. I don’t know how much further she can go. Also, Tyler’s definitely a goner. You can write that in stone.

  • dman

You’re just trying to be funny.

  • Georgia_Peach

The deaths would be going into the end of this season. Not right away.  Rebekah is a guest star, not a regular.
Matt is human, I don’t think he is going anywhere.

  • whoneedsthecullens

If they want to keep Klaus around and explore his dynamics with Caroline, it could be Tyler. He accomplished a major development in Season 3, but I don’t know where his character could be heading.

  • Georgia_Peach

No he doesn’t.  Ian, Nina and Stefan are the main cast members and they portray the characters that the show is about.  They are locked into their contracts until the end of the TV series, which is suppose to end in Season 6.  Of course contracts can be renegotiated if TVD goes past 6 seasons.

  • lolalovestvd

You could be right, but I have a theory.

  • lolalovestvd

    No, I have a theory, I tell you. :D

  • Georgia_Peach

You think it is Caroline?  That could be.  I could see Caroline and Tyler biting the dust together.

My female intuition is telling me Bonnie is a goner by season end, but we shall see.

My “must not kill” memo to the writers didn’t work out so good for Alaric.  This season my “absolutely must not kill” memo consists of Damon, Elena, Stefan, Klaus, (Rebekah, Elijah, Kol even though they are guest stars) Jeremy,  Caroline, Tyler and Bonnie.  Somehow I don’t think they will listen to me …. yet again.

  • Georgia_Peach

Ian’s contract does, plus he is their money maker.  Damon is way too popular to be killed off the TV series.  That would pretty much end the show.

However, I am guessing you think Damon will die and be resurrected as a human, but eventually will be turned again.   UGH!  I hope not… , nor do I want him to smell or touch a flower that makes him human.  That part of the books need to go away, as well as Elena becoming a spirit that has to be tied down because she floats.  No! just NO!

  • lolalovestvd

    Ewww, no human Damon. Yuck!

  • whoneedsthecullens

Please don’t tell me you are thinking that Damon (or any other vampire, for that matter) can turn back into being human? That was a part in the books I really didn’t like at all. And it would throw everything the TV-show is committed to overboard. Just my opinion – but I really like what  the TV-writers made of the books and vampires being able to turn back into humans would simply ruin it for me.

  • dman

    Ok, let’s hear your “theory”.

  • lolalovestvd

No, nothing about Damon turning human. If I wanted a human vampire, I’d just ship Stefan. ;D

  • whoneedsthecullens

Oh goody. Sigh. So… what Is your theory?????

  • lolalovestvd

Nope. I could be wrong and that would be awkward for me. :D

Maybe it’ll just be Tyler, anyway. Which would suck because I really like Tyler so far this season. He’s developed some Damon-like qualities that are very appealing.

  • amanda

Nina, Ian and Paul are all the money makers of the show not just Ian.  If one left the show would not last.  All three (whether you like it or not) compliment each other in a professional way.  If Damon left who would cause problems for Stefan and Elena.  If Elena left who would the brothers argue over and if Paul left who would Damon blame for everything that goes wrong.  I’m sure that some fans have alot of time invested in other characters on the show and it may make them upset and having them tune out if they were killed off.

  • dman

I thought you didn’t like Stefan.

BTW, that’s an awful lot of people you “don’t” want to die.
You’re not leaving much for the writers.

    Kol? KOL?????????????? WHY?

  • lolalovestvd

    What about Matt???

  • Cassie

If they die they might come back. We’ve seen this before, “A main character will die”

    Bonnie dies.

    Bonnie comes back to life.

It happens all the time. I’m not saying it won’t be permanent but I’m pretty sure we won’t lose two MAIN. Maybe they mean major which also includes Rebekah, Elijah, Kol and a few others. Plus, we have to take in account that new characters being introduced may become major and they could mean at the end of the season possibly.

  • From Beginning To End

Yeah, technically Elena died last season and she’s a main character. If they want to follow the books a bit she could always die again too.

  • From Beginning To End

I really hope Caroline, Tyler, Bonnie and Jeremy don’t die. I like Matt but his death wouldn’t devastate me. ALTHOUGH, they shouldn’t really kill him off either because poor guy is just really happy to be alive right now. Rebekah I would prefer not to die. I hope Caroline’s mom sticks around too. If April get’s with Jeremy she shouldn’t die because that would make his love life more tragic than Ric’s.

I know, I know. My list is long. I just hope that nobody dies for a while to come because right now it would just be too tragic, even if it were minor characters.

  • VAMPLOVER1973

My two cents, for what’s it’s worth:

Side characters killed off for good:1. Bonnie- Kat Graham loves doing her music. All you have to do is listen to Kat’s interviews to know her music is her heart and soul. It would be appropriately tear worthy if Bonnie got killed off, but I could really see it happening this season. Especially if she continues to dabble in dark magic. The synopsis released for 406 said there was disturbing news about “Professor Shane”…..this is the guy Bonnie’s going to get help from. Not good for Bonnie, at all.

    2. Tyler- He’s been around since S1….while I was impressed with him in Memorial, I think there’s a really good chance he would be a goner. Besides, if he’s gone, it could open up some major doors for Caroline. More on that later as the season continues…

    3. Jeremy- If he’s going to be joining “The Five”, it’s going to be a problem. We all know it.

Guest Stars that need to go:

    1. Meredith Fell: Why is she still around?

    2. If Tyler bites it, I see no reason for Carol Lockwood to still be around.

    Musn’t touch it…..LIKE EVER:

    1. Damon
    2. Elena
    3. Stefan
    4. Klaus
    5. Elijah
    6. Rebekah
    7. Caroline

One character who’s going to be safe no matter what:
    1. Matt- He’s human, and apparently the writers like having one human dude to write for. Besides, Elena has to have her breakfast, lunch & dinner;)

The new guest stars this year are interesting. They come, they go, we’ll just have to see what happens with them;) I’m very open to new stories..and if they don’t touch those seven I mentioned above, anything and everything can change or be set on a different path;)

  • VAMPLOVER1973

I think they would be completely 100% idiotic to get rid of Caroline…..but then I thought they’d be idiotic to get rid of Ric…so there is that:(

  • VAMPLOVER1973

LOL….hi Dman- Just because us Damon fans get irritated at Stefan doesn’t mean we don’t like him or don’t want him on the show. Stefan can’t ever be killed off because the story is mainly about Stefan, Elena & Damon. All three interconnect. I can’t imagine TVD without those three. Let’s face it, it just wouldn’t be the same:)

  • Georgia_Peach

Thanks for the input Amanda, but we were talking specifically about Damon and Ian being the one to leave the show, not Paul or Nina.

In one of my other comments I said that none of the three main cast could go because they are the center of the main plot of the show.

  • Georgia_Peach

Added :)   He is Elena’s food source.

  • Georgia_Peach

The main plot of show is about Damon, Elena and Stefan.  Ian, Nina and Paul are the main stars and are in every single episode.  Just because Stefan has been grating on my last nerve that does not mean I want him to die, nor do I want Paul off the show.
The show has to have all three of them to maintain the momentum.

You’re right, I’m not leaving much for the writers.  My bad?

Kol is an Original.  I don’t want anymore of the Originals to die. Finn was enough.   When they die, an entire vampire bloodline goes with them that stretches out over 1,000 years.  Some that are good and some that are bad.

  • ihatepeople

I have a nagging feeling about Damon dying too as a necessary sacrifice to turn Elena human again since his blood turned her. It could be the season finale cliffhanger. I’m not saying he’d stay dead but he did die in the books and came back to life so who knows?

“Main character” is kind of a vague term because our definition of main can be different than the show’s. Could be someone like the mayor who dies.

  • ihatepeople

EXACTLY. It’s a supernatural show where normal life rules don’t apply. Any of them could die and come back. Even in the Buffy series she died more than once. Elena died and came back at the end of season 2.

  • Georgia_Peach

I have listened to Kat’s interviews over the summer. At Comic Con she did say her music was her priority and her passion.  If Bonnie is killed off, I think it will be at Kat’s request and not a decision JP would have made.

Anyway, I do think one of the deaths will be Bonnie :(

  • dman

“Elena’s food source”. Haha! Funny! I love how you’re so nonchalant about it.

  • dman

“Meredith Fell: Why is she still around?” Didn’t anybody tell you: She’s sleeping with one of the actors. I mean — it’s so obvious. lol

Seriously, I’ve yet to understand her purpose on the show. At the beginning I thought she was an interesting character because of her seemingly ambiguous motives, but when it turned out she wasn’t a psychopath, or a vampire hating fell, I kinda lost interest in her. I don’thate her character, but she just doesn’t do anything for me, at the moment. Perhaps they should’ve kept her psychopathic storyline. She definitely would’ve been more interesting.

I hope the writters are careful WHO they kill. Those decisions can seriously hurt a very successful series!

  • lolalovestvd

Yay! (But I really hope he gets to be more than that this season)

  • dman

Sorry, but that wasn’t meant as an to insult her. Torrey is married to Paul Wesley, which the majority of the fandom knows. So that comment was meant to be funny, not taken literally.

  • dman

     *as an insult to her.

  • Kate

Tone can be hard in text, but still. Tip for the future: saying a woman (or man!) has slept her way to a position she doesn’t deserve ALWAYS comes across as offensive, no matter what.
