WOW! That would be somber news for Bex since she desperately wants to be human. Burning doesn’t sound like a whole lot of fun. Damon being protected against dying permanently…hmmm an interesting theory. I wonder if it’s due to his connection to Elena thru the sire bond or because he killed those 12 people unknowingly allowing the dark magic to walk on this plane and help in raising Silas? Didn’t they say all who died in his name would be rise again? Would the sire bond be affected even if her switch is off? OMG could you imagine the reverse happening between Damon and Elena where Damon is human and has to get Elena to turn her humanity back on? What they’re filming with Nina could be Katherine.

Well Elena actually can’t because of the sire bond thing.

For me the amnesia thing is too much like a soap opera and leaves too much room for her to regress. I wouldn’t be surprised if he died for her I mean he died trying to save Katherine and she didn’t really love him. Unfortunately that’s a tough group she hangs with so who knows if that would even win him any brownie points with them. LOL. I know what you mean I’ve expected him to die for her at some point too but I assumed it would be in the end. With the whole possible resurrection thing though it’s more likely to occur now. Didn’t Bonnie say in season 1 she kept seeing the numbers 8, 14 and 22? Well 4×14 would be one of those significant numbers.

The sire bond is based on an emotional connection she has with him. For her I don’t think that would stop even after he dies. In fact it would probably be more intense because she misses him or being in limbo could be why she’s able to feel him still. IDK. I was just throwing it out there as a romantic thing. As for the journal maybe she’s simply writing in it not looking for something or recalling her history with him. I agree the poor guy can never catch a break. He didn’t even get to really be happy with her for more than half a day before it turned to crap.

That is a good question. She’d probably think he’s making a mistake. Oh the irony of her being the vampire now and him being the human. They just can’t catch a break. I’m with you on the Stefan & Caroline perspective. That’s what I envision too and I find annoying and it hasn’t even happened. Hahaha. I wondered the same thing about Tyler’s ability to turn someone. The Originals definitely wouldn’t do it because Damon would be less of a problem to them as a human.

It’s driving me nuts but I remember having read in vampire folklore, in one of the hundred books i have read about there being a certain significance in the hanged man symbol, and ties between vampirism and biblical characters. Something about the hangman representing a fallen disciple of christ, life for a life…bla bla bla… xD resulting in resurrection of said disciple as a vampire…. blood of christ, blood drinking rituals….bla bla bla… xDDD 

Anyhow… my point is that it definitely points towards Damon giving up his life for her to become vampire. THings could go wrong of course, and Damon could end up being the resurrected one, but I don’t think that will be the case. In which case, she wouldn’t feel the sire, as she would be human again. Or she never changed… but what did Damon give his life up for? I can’t believe he would end up dying and it would all be for nothing… they have to get something out of this. 

We know they all worry for her mental state after that episode, so something clearly is happening to her, and I don’t think it is just about being distraught about losing Damon. 

Like I said somewhere else, if all she has to go on is that journal and it is memory loss… god help all of us Delenas! xD I would expect at least Bonnie to say something nice about him… I’m actually feeling optimistic for a change… I don’t know what it is, but as bad as it looks for him… I just have a feeling this will do his image a whole lot of good. Maybe even for some of the viewers… 

But I’ll let you know, no doubt my optimism will be short lived :(

 I think I read somewhere New York was a flashback to the 70′s, but it wasn’t a definite thing at the time so maybe they have changed that aspect of it.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they’re daylight rings aren’t working given the magic on the island. Yeah I thought about Damon being sired to Katherine too if she turns him. The witch said “feelings” not necessarily love that sires someone to a vampire. He has that love/hate thing going on with Katherine which could be a problem in the siring department. Ah a new triangle is born. LOL. I can just picture Katherine messing with him and Elena if that happened.

okaaaay… when you say it like that….haha I guess you are right…. It’s just terrible that they would do that to him :( I guess I can’t find reason in them having him as their scape goat all the time… So I hope at least, for once, there will be significant reason for him getting himself momentarily killed :/ 

Yes the 12 disciples, and the 12 sacrifices… I wonder even if there are any biblical stories out there involving the disciples that have any relation to a story similar to the one Prof Creepy tells us about Silas and Quetsia. I now wish I had payed more attention in catholic school… >..< anyways…  It looks like he doesn't stay dead for long… All the reviving or vamp-reviving happens in 4×16.

ep 17 has the title ‘because of the night’the song has alot of meaning ,i think abut damon and elena love.people are saying there is a fighting scene and a DE scene.i think the big surprice is to do with elena , i think she might be related to silas and his lady

Ok random thought here. Say Damon does turn human and he and Elena get all hot and heavy, isn’t she going to want to bite him being so physically close and feeling his heartbeat? She IS a new vampire so what would her control be like in that situation?

Haha! I was wondering if someone would’ve notice that. No, I’m much, much, much, much, much……..OLDER than that. lol

I would actually love this. I mean, it did happen in the books, but it was extremely short-lived.

Now, that would be a terrible waste because there’s so much story to explore surrounding Damon being stuck human for however long. First, he’d hate being at everyone’s mercy, even Elena’s (lol), not to mention not being able to protect her. Second, even if him turning human broke the sire bond (I know a lot of people think it won’t, but I think it would because it’s a supernatural bond based on Damon’s vamp blood and you can’t be sired to someone who is no longer supernatural imo) they’d have to deal with the new challenge of Damon being miserable and not believing that Elena can love or respect him as a puny human who needs protection himself all the time. Third, it’d be so interesting to see how it changed how everyone else treats him.

Carina even said Damon would be suffering a lot soon. Yes, I know that sounds like the most obvious non-spoiler ever when discussing TVD, but I can’t deny that Damon being human really REALLY would make him suffer.

In short, bring it on.

I agree, just like it would break it if ELena were to be human, I think it will be broken is he becomes a human too. 

Wow, it would be excellent to watch! Aggg can’t wait!

Just seen a terribly spoiler pic that shows him filming 4×17 and he is most definitely a vamp again. Either that or it is a flashback, but I don’t think so. He is all covered in blood, in his mouth too…
