The CW has released the official synopsis for The Vampire Diaries: Down the Rabbit Hole (EP414), airing Thursday, February 14th. Highlight for spoilers:

CHARLIE BEWLEY FROM “TWILGHT” GUEST STARS AS ONE OF THE FIVE HUNTERS — On the island, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has an ugly run-in with a Hunter named Vaughn (guest star Bewley), and realizes he is one of The Five. Stefan (Paul Wesley) confesses his true feelings about the possibility of becoming human again to Elena (Nina Dobrev). When a stunning new piece of information about the cure is suddenly revealed, it changes the stakes for everyone. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) helps Bonnie (Kat Graham) recognize what is real and what is an illusion, and Shane (guest star David Alpay) is comforted by a woman from his past, Caitlin (guest star Camille Guaty, “Prison Break”). Back in Mystic Falls, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) find that their attempt to translate the code on the Hunter’s Sword is futile without help from Klaus (Joseph Morgan), who has his own reasons for solving the puzzle. Claire Holt also stars.

The episode was directed by Chris Grismer and written by Jose Molina.

Oooo intriguing idea about the trials required to get the cure. That could be interesting. In last nights ep is sounded like Klaus wanted the cure for power but you never know with him. Good point about Klaus leaving if Elena becomes human. Nice catch. :)

are 5 hunters so of course Vaughn is one of the 5. What’s so special
about Damon realizing that? Or is Vaughn one of the ORIGINAL 5? But how
could that be possible since Klaus killed all of them. Did one rise from
death??? Or did we all get the meaning wrong. Does Damon realize that
he himself is one of the 5???

Wow. I wasn’t taking that as Damon realizing he himself is one of the 5. That’s a twister. Maybe Vaughn is one of the original 5 and he knows Rebeka. I know the one Rebeka fell in love with was one of the original 5. This may change everything if they know each other. I think Jeremy kills Vaughn and will suffer for it.

I was thinking the same thing…Klaus wanting to bring back Tatia because he was in love with her, but then what about Caroline? If he does bring back Tatia, does that mean Nina is going to have to play 3 roles now…LOL.

I think Rebekah and Klaus could see the tattoo’s if they were completed. If they weren’t completed they couldn’t.
