Damon has made it clear from the very beginning that his true love and the one he wants is Katherine.Only because he know’s he was just Katherine’s play toy has he looked at Elena.He would want Elena because she is Katherine’s twin.If Katherine came back he’d pick Katherine over Elena in a minute.Stefan on the otherhand loves Elena for who she is.He has proven his love and devotion over and over again.He would give his life to save hers.Damon would not.Don’t get me wrong Damon has come around and changed, he cares for Stefan. I just wonder if Katherine came back.How would Damon’s personality be?Love Damon, hate to admit it but… when he and Elena were dancing I did feel what you Damon fans are talking about.BUT I know that everytime Stefan and Elena are together, whether it be that they are inthe same room or closer(being intimate) the chemistry and love that they share is incredible.Actually get butterflies in my stomach, and puts a huge smile on my face.My friends laugh.Then again they are smiling too.Stefan and Elena are beautiful,exciting,sexy and so passionate together.When you watch them you can’t take your eye’s off the screen.Damon is a hottie and would love to see him with Katherine(before a few go crazy I know it’s the same actress that plays elena) or Bonnie.Perhaps a new gal could come to the show and make Damon a true romantic, that would be exciting.Damon being all cute and in love.  

But you can’t deny the fact that Stefan was only interested in Elena at the beginning because she looked like Katherine. He might choose her over Katherine now, but the whole basis of their relationship was because of their resemblance. That’s exactly how Damon feels at the moment and since this show is based on a love triangle, I think it’s a given that he will soon, if he doesn’t already, have feelings for Elena and not just because she looks like Katherine. I personally can’t wait for that to happen :P

I completely agree.I think that it is kind of impossible to say that you prefer one or the other until you see what the other option would be like. I know that the show doesn’t follow the books completely, but how could it? Capturing the attention of audiences week after week is a lot more difficult than capturing their attention for one book that only takes one evening to read. They HAD to shake things up some. However, I think that the book and she show do have a lot of similarities and follow the same basic plot. Stefan sees Elena – Stefan likes Elena – Stefan meets Elena – Damon shows up – Everybody hates Damon – Damon saves the day – Katharine is alive – etc etc etc. So I expect the Damon/Elena relationship to develop a great amount, just like in the novels. It’s pretty much central to the entire series.PS: Has ANYBODY noticed that in the just released promo pics, Damon is holding Elena’s hand?! It looks almost as if she is torn between him and Stefan at that moment. Not sure what is going on there, but it looks pretty darn interesting!  (Quote)

ohmy! it’s great! i can’t wait to read all the books and watch all the episodes. go DELENA! hahaha.. can’t wait to see Katherine again. :)
