Yes, I think she will return as well in the final episode. However, I really can’t wait to see the character development between Damon and Elena. I completely think she is going to end up with Damon in the books and I hope they follow that thread in the show.If anyone has read LJ Smith’s Dark Visions series you can see and example of how the golden boy doesn’t always get the girl in the end…..  (Quote)

I don’t think Stefan is exactly the golden boy.. he was trying to live peacfully among humans, but as we can see it looks like he was always the one to be the bad brother when drinking human blood.. which is probably why he stopped, maybe he hurt someone he really cared about?? I don’t know but I definitely don’t think he’s the golden boy. I LOVE Damon.. but I really LOVE Stefan and Elena, by the looks of the stills from the next few episodes, it looks like they’ll work things out.

I think that Katherine will return, switch places with Elena and play with Damon. (our tough gorgeous witch Bonnie will figure it out) Damon will be all happy because he’ll think Elena chose him. Which of course will crush Stefan. Fast forward season 2 the secret is out. Elena comes back to Stefan(which is where she belongs) Katherine kicks Damon to the curb,(where he belongs) and all is right with the world. Lets face it if Damon could have Katherine or Elena he’d pick Katherine. Also Elena seems far more intelligent than your average 17year old to fall for someone like Damon. Makes complete sense. I AGREEEEEEEEEEE I think the chemistry with the entire cast is great. Bonnie and Damon would make an incredible couple. Stefan and Elena do belong together there chemistry truly jumps out at you.

I don’t see Damon and Bonnie at all … either in the books, or the series.In the books at least he likes her in a sort of brotherly way.In the series they really can’t stand each other.I don’t see Damon with anybody really.While he’s attracted to Elena and has feelings for her, I cannot see her returning those feelings in either the short or long term.She’s got tunnel vision where Stefan is concerned.She understands Damon, and that might lead to friendship, but not romance.Of course, this is supposed to be a love triangle, so it’s possible, though left to me it would remain unrequited.  

I agree, I personally LOVE Stefan and Elena together, but don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Damon too.. but I think him and Elena would have a way better friendship- even now when you see them there is this weird tension between them that’s kind of intriguing. I think Elena is too smart to return the feelings for Damon and I think Damon is still in love with Katherine, but Stefan loves Elena for Elena. According to the producers, they say Stefan and Elena will be together in the long run because they’re meant to be together (and I agree lol) but I would love for Elena and him to have a really good friendship.

I just wish there was another Stefan/Elena love scene before the season is over! lol… got to have something to get through the summer.

So I guess that someone will die on the season finale.Really hope it’s not Alaric.He adds so much to the show.Love how tough he is.He is hot, has sexy eyes.And the whole history teacher thing makes him seem so innocent.Then all of a sudden he is fighting and killing vampires.He can carry his own when it comes to fighting alonside Damon. Looking forward to him kicking ass.  

I don’t think he’ll die, he just became a series regular.. well at least I hope he doesn’t die because I really like him too=) Not sure who is going to die.. I saw someone saw two people were going to die but I don’t know how much validity that has. I kind of wish Kelly and Malese were series regulars though because I really like the Anna and Pearl stuff.. hopefully it’s not one of them.

True, but Stefan never drank human blood in the books. Well, he did, but he exchanged with Elena out of love, it was never… violent, he never lost control. He was much more… “perfect”… I think that the only reason they incorporated this into the books was to be able to quickly develop a serious thing between Damon and Elena.

I hope Katherine come back. It would be cool to see her messing with Damon. So Elena can safe him in a sort of way, and he understand that he is in love with Elena and not Katherine. That would be amazing! :)
But one thing is sure, the chemistry between Elena and Damon is amazing, even in the smallest scenes… Can’t wait to see more of them…

Alaric is fantastic he adds alot to the show. Hope he isn’t killed off. Also Jenna,Caroline,Matt,Jer and Bonnie are such big parts of the show. Pearl has to stay because she and Katherine have to reek havoc. I can’t figure out who gets killed off. Everyone in the show fills a certain spot. Even Uncle Jon, he is such a pain in the butt. Can’t figure out if he’s there to protect the town or what. If someone goes who will it be? I’m stumped

I don’t understand why people are so sure that Stefan likes Elena for Elena. Wasn’t ti made clear that he stalked Elena just because she looked like Katherine. He also kept Katherine’s photo long after he was dating Elena. I don’t think he’s over her yet. I do however agree that Damon is not over Katherine yet and would love to see how he reacts if/when she comes on the show.  (Quote)

Im just sure he liked Elena because he made it clear early on in the season- when he was talking to Lexi in his bedroom he made it clear why he likes Elena. I think he kept the picture because he can’t forget about Katherine, not necessarily because he loved her but because she’s the one who turned them. I don’t know, I just personally like Elena and Stefan together so I hope it works out. Yeah I would like to see how Damon reacts if Katherine came back too.

I actually completely disagree with that. Yes, right now Damon is not nearly over Katharine, but after his feelings for Elena continue to develop, I think that he would chose. He’s not a dumb guy, he will realize that what he feels for Elena is real whereas Katherine completely manipulated him.
In fact, at the end of the final book of the original trilogy Damon IS put in the position where he has to make that choice. Katherine has returned, and she captures Stefan, Damon, and Elena and has them all held prisoner. He plan is to brutally kill all of them. She is NOT pleased that both brothers, who are supposed to love her forever, developed feelings for somebody else. But she offers Damon a cop out. She tells him that he can live, as long as he promises to stay by her side, and that he was always her favourite brother. Elena expects Damon to agree to it, in an attempt to obviously save his own life. But he just tells Katherine to go to hell, and accepts his own death along side his brother and Elena.

You all also can’t forget that there would be no Elena if there wasn’t Stefan. He saved her life and helped her heal and deal with her parents death. Damon belongs with Katharine and Stefan belongs with Elena. It’d be a real twist if Katharine comes back and says that she only cared about Stefan. I agree.. I just really love Stefan and Elena together, but I also love Damon. I saw someone say earlier how we don’t know if Stefan loves Elena for Elena- but we do, because like you said, Katherine had to compel Stefan and Stefan admitted to Lexi a long time ago that he genuinely loves Elena. Im not sure what’s going to happen but it looks like for this season Stefan and Elena will work things out (well I hope Stefan works out his ‘drinking’ problem).

Can anyone answer a question, please. It’s actually about the episode under control. When jon was talking about his and Elena’s dads ring. The sound quality wasn’t very good, tried online. Sound quality same. My question if Elena’s dad had the ring then why did he die. Or what did I miss. Thanks

Johnathan Gilbert (the uncle) gave his ring to Isobel, not knowing she would in turn give it to her husband Alaric. I’m dying to know why he did that. Greyson Gilbert (Jeremy’s father and Elena’s adopted father) gave his ring to John. This was before the car accident that killed him and Mrs. Gilbert. I don’t agree that Damon belongs with Katherine. If anything, I think she’s the cause of all his problems so they can’t ‘belong together’. I’m also not convinced that Stefan saved Elena’s life and i think the writer’s might extend on that.In the books [spoiler]Katherine cared about Stefan whereas she was sort of using Damon, so I guess if you’re interested in that you might want to read them. However, Damon didn’t care about Katherine at all and it was Stefan who was hung up on Katherine.[spoiler]  (Quote)

Good point. I guess this all depends on which way the writers want to take the story. Anyone who has read the books knows how the Katherine story is going to end but in what season will we see those events take place….season 2 may be too soon. Right now I understand the show intends to be on the air for at least 5 seasons so there is alot of story line that has to be developed.

Yes he fell inlove with Elena at first because she looked like Katherine. But as he got to know her he realized she was completely the opposite of Katherine. She is not Manipulative, Conniving, cares only about herself person. And that was what made him want her even more and love her even more. He needed to know everything about her. Damon has made it clear from the very beginning that his true love and the one he wants is Katherine. Only because he know’s he was just Katherine’s play toy has he looked at Elena. He would want Elena because she is Katherine’s twin. If Katherine came back he’d pick Katherine over Elena in a minute. Stefan on the otherhand loves Elena for who she is. He has proven his love and devotion over and over again. He would give his life to save hers. Damon would not. Don’t get me wrong Damon has come around and changed, he cares for Stefan. I just wonder if Katherine came back. How would Damon’s personality be? Love Damon, hate to admit it but… when he and Elena were dancing I did feel what you Damon fans are talking about. BUT I know that everytime Stefan and Elena are together, whether it be that they are in the same room or closer(being intimate) the chemistry and love that they share is incredible. Actually get butterflies in my stomach, and puts a huge smile on my face. My friends laugh. Then again they are smiling too. Stefan and Elena are beautiful,exciting,sexy and so passionate together. When you watch them you can’t take your eye’s off the screen. Damon is a hottie and would love to see him with Katherine(before a few go crazy I know it’s the same actress that plays elena) or Bonnie.
