The week in Vampire Diaries production – with bullet points (!):

In other news, via various reports from around Vancouver, Ian Somerhalder apparently goes out at night and is still really, really, ridiculously good-looking (Blue Steel™). Yet the mythical Sarah Carey continues to evade.

    omg, wow.
does anyone know of an approximate date for airing?

  • Vee

As far as we know the show is being considered for the CW Network’s fall schedule – so September/October-ish. We have no idea why the IMDb page says June, unless that’s when CW plans on finalizing their schedule and does (or does not) give the pilot the go ahead.

  • Demi

Oh, I see. Thanks for the info.

  • Vee

No problem. Thanks for coming by!

The CW will unveil its fall schedule in mid to late May, along with the rest of the networks besides one that is doing it earlier, I forget which one though. Who knows why IMDB says June, but I don’t think IMDB is all that reliable most days.

Unless the pilot is extremely craptacular, I think VD is a lock to be on the fall schedule, so like you said September to early October sounds about right. *nods*

Aha – I *thought* June sounded a bit late for approval but was trying to justify that weird June 2009 date. Thanks for clarifying, Meghan.
