Not surprisingly, the box-office success of Twilight has led the CW to stake out some territory in the teens-and-vampires genre by picking up a pilot for Vampire Diaries, a Kevin Williamson-penned adaptation of a 15-year-old series of novels.

    The Vampire Diaries has officially been picked up for a second season!

    The Vampire Diaries is on hiatus for a few weeks while the Olympics are taking place. The next episode of the Vampire Diaries, "A Few Good Men", airs on Thursday, March 25th at 8/7c on the CW network in the USA and at 7/6c on CTV in Canada.
