I love that Jeremy and Elijah have been killed multiple times..but just keep coming back for more haha. I voted Elijah by Elena because it was Elena’s first kill ! She proved she could be a major badass and it was so unexpected !!

This was very easy for me, Rose and the beautiful dream with Damon. The Descent was my favorite ep from the season, just because of that scene. Next would have been John’s death.

You hit the nail on the head and the surprises the writers keep throwing at us is the reason that TVD is my favorite show ever. That is saying something because I loved Veronica Mars, Buffy, Roswell and still love Supernatural and White Collar, but we have the best writers anywhere.

I believe the werewolf stabbed Ric in Crying Wolf.

COME ON, Rose, for real? One of the Jeremy options should be winning this easily! Preferably the neck snap – I mean, I know it was a fake out, but it was completely and utterly shocking, and extremely well acted by Dobrev and Somerhalder. One of the best scenes in the entire show if you ask me.

Also, props to Caroline’s pillow-death in 2×01, because, damn, was it bad-ass! Our girl Kat sure knows how to make an entrance!

I voted for Rose. I think her death, was by far the most beautiful, heartwrenching, and sad scene, of all the series i have ever seen. (And trust me- I’ve seen A LOT!)
The scene was just absolutely perfect, and why would I explain? I think it’s obvious, but here it is..
Rose went absolutely insane from the werewolf bite, and she almost killed Elena. I had a lot of sympathy for her when that happened, because she just couldn’t control herself, and then she fell into self-hate. Poor her. Elena asked Damon if Rose would die, and when he said yes, he seemed completely unswerving!! Was a bit mad at him. /:
But then the whole situation just escalated, and Damon compelled her a Dream, in which she would be home. The Music, the area, the characters, PERFECT! The conversation between Rose and Damon was more than meaningful, and the part that brings me to tears everytime is when we realize that Damon really cares about Rose, and to release her from her pain, he kills her. Just thinking about it, almost makes me cry.

i agree Rose death was touching and beautiful but also tragic !!1 Damon showed such a kindness by taking her to her favorite spot and then staking her .He looked so devastated once she had died .The whole scene was so sad and very poignant !!!

I think the best death was Rose by Damon.  Her death was actually drawn out over several very well done episodes.  The moment her werewolf bite began to spread over her skin and through her mind she began her slow death.  The bite made Rose do things she would never had done in her right mind – and she regretted all the bad actions when she came back to her right mind.  It was beautiful how Damon took care of Rose, because he really cared for her.  No one could have been more gentle or kind to Rose.  He listened to her and granted her wish to go home.  And once he had done all her could to comfort Rose, Damon did the kindest thing of all by staking her and preventing any more misery.  I cried for it was beautiful to see how deeply Damon cared for Rose and how far he went to make her death as easy as he could.  

The drama was intense, I didn’t like to see her go as I liked her character

I think the part that threw Damon over the edge was having to put Rose in his trunk and show her to Liz, then the awful ending where he killed Jessica.  I do hope she is put in the deaths next week.  Damon felt so guilty because it was supposed to be him and not Rose that got bitten.  Damn, Ian does have Damon down perfectly.

Definitely Rose.  It’s the only death scene listed that made me cry.

I voted for Elena and Caroline, but I really think that major deaths were the ones of Jenna and Rose. Jenna was a favorite one of mine, sadly they killed her. Boy, I was really sad when I saw the scene. :( But to be honest Caroline and Elena’s death were important for the plot and I’m glad they kept Caroline, with all after that happened, Katherine and stuff. WOW!!

This was so difficult! Partly because of all the “great” (heart-breaking) choices but also because I over-analyze EVERYTHING TVD, blame the writers for giving me so much to ponder.

There are so many definitions of best, but I went with Jenna. If being turned, then sacrificed, via stake in the heart, by the most terrifying all powerful Hybrid doesn’t earn the award, then I’m at a loss. It was scary & drawn out, she got to ponder her demise and Klaus enjoying so much made it extra creepy. Plus, Jenna did not come back in anyway shape or form, so it was a true loss.

Rose was the most beautiful death scene, for her back story & the way it was shot. Jeremy’s via Damon neck-snapping was the most horrifying. I still jump on re-watches. Caroline was also on my list of possibles, since Kat plays so dirty, & because it was such a game-changer. But ultimately Jenna wins in my book!

Jenna was a character full of potential. When I saw she had been turned I didn’t have much hope she would survive. I was worried she would just be killed off quickly without much fuss. Was what made her death epic that it was commited by the most hyped up character of the season? Was it dramatic because of the raging fire? Because it came after one last ditch attempt to save Elena? While all these contributed to it, no. What made this death scene the best was Elena’s raw reaction to the horror of watching Jenna die and the incredible amount of emotion when she told her to just turn it off. Elena’s seen many…many…many people die but this just seemed to have the most impact and because Nina played it so well you were right there with her.

I vote for Rose and Jeremy. Rose becouze i liked her, and i cried when Damon staked her. And Jeremy becouze it was a totally shock when Liz shot him.
