Previously on The Vampire Diaries, the Gilberts did a little badass-bonding, Damon and Klaus had a moment, Bonnie was Not Amused with her parents’ attempt to actually be parents, Stefan made Rebekah an ’80s greatest hits mix tape of moments, and a cotton t-shirt and an Original had a horrible, no good, very bad day. If that sounds like a lot, it was, and it was excellent. Relive the magic before tomorrow night’s new episode, Into the Wild (EP413).
We’ll have Crissy’s recap up for you later tonight, so check back!
WATCH A BITE-SIZED RECAP AT THE CW VAMPIRE DIARIES LAIR.

There was a whole lot of competence happening in Mystic Falls this week, and frankly, it was kind of disconcerting. The hard truth is that when Elena Gilbert has a plan, it is usually kind of a disaster. Her bright idea last week to kill Kol was audacious, complicated, and obviously destined to fail. That it didn’t is one of the great joys of this season so far.
Rudy! Abby! I think your intentions are great, but for real: you were absentee parents at best, and you choose now to try and give it a go? Your kid is Dark Phoenix! Dark Phoenix has no parents! Dark Phoenix needs no parents! And Dark Phoenix sure as s— doesn’t need witches being —holes all up in her business, torturing her grandma and making her make Alaric a vampire! YOU LOST, LET IT GO.
