WATCH A BITE-SIZED RECAP AT THE CW VAMPIRE DIARIES LAIR.

I suppose it made sense that the candlelight vigil for Mayor Carol Lockwood would take place at the high school — as opposed to the town square, where she was murdered by Klaus (or, official report: head trauma from a fall), or at the church, where her son had recently been shot by Connor during another public memorial.
‘The Vampire Diaries’ recap: Truth or Dare
by Mandi Bierly
“Hey, dad. I know you probably mean well, but given that I’m the Last Living Bennett Witch and possibly the eventual avatar of Qetsiyah, you should maybe ease up on trying to wrap me in packing blankets and Protect Me From Things. Seriously. I give vampires blood clots in their brain on the regular, and that’s what I do to the ones I like. So maybe quit trying to parent like seventeen years too late, because better people than you have tried and they’re all dead. Oh, and FYI, Mom is now a vampire and probably roaming the earth like David Carradine in Kung Fu. Did you make coffee?”
“I’m at a mandatory drinking-all-alone party.”
