This episode was great!! The was ending was awesome and I am thinking that Stefan is going to do whatver it takes to get Elena back even if he has to hurt people.

i agree that Stefan would go to hell and back for Elena. I’m not sure how many of you had read the books but they really play on this. I feel like Damon was truly hurt by the events of this weeks episode and how Elena looked him in the eye and lie, we all know she felt bad too. Even Stefan. Damon doesn’t want to hate his brother for eternity but he tries to keep that underwraps. I guess Anna was getting revenge on Damon by taking Elena??
Another thing I noticed and wanted to say was that if Isobel is Elena’s mother and Alaric’s wife…that maybe he whats in the tomb too for whatever reason. I’m wondering how Isobel knew maybe from her ancestors (Katherine.)
The book is sooooo different from the show it’s almost a different story completely. But nonetheless I think the producers are doing a good jobs just not at all sticking to the book.
Which do you like better guys the books or the show???

i had problems during a minute of the episode. it skipped for a second during the scene where he was playing a video game with jeremy.

I was disapointed in the colouring of the flashbacks, the greenish blue music video lighting really took away from the pretty, I was so excited because the promo pics looked so good, but oh well. I wish they’d stuck with the Lost Girls lighting, looked much better. =(

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…..this episode was awesome…From someone who read the books I think its turning out into a great series so far….as for tonights episode’s it skipped for a second towards the end, but i heard others missed most of the show. I guessed the DVR helped it..yay!!! but all in all I loved tonights episode..I’m in between teams here I feel a lot for Damon yet I also love Stefan so let the convincing begin..lol…Again great job to the writers producers and of course the cast….

well, the story is based on it being a love TRIANGLE, so i think they kinda need to build on the Damon/Elena story :)

ava: I thought the show was good, not as great the ones before though.ELENA AND STEFAN FOREVER. Let Damon be with someone else.I agree are they trying to prepare for a Damon and Elena story.Say it isn’t so.  

Monia555, there is 22 episodes in Season 1. The CW first commissioned the 13 that just aired and, because it took off and became such a success for them, quickly added an order for the back 9 episodes that are yet to air. It’s a pretty sure bet there will be a Season 2 next fall.

Amazon already has “Children of the Damned” available for download this morning. I guess they didn’t want to hear me griping like I did last week when “Unpleasantville” was sooo late. LOL!

Best episode so far! Don’t know how they’ll top this one… Amazing!

Can I just ask a quick question it’s a little silly but why was Damon closing his eyes and pressing his nose and lips against Elena?

And why would both Elena and Damon close there eyes when they next to each other like that? Is it love?

well, we have the same “disturbance” with last night’s episode here in FL. There were no skips but the buzzing sound went on and off for a sec, not sure if it was the CW studio or transmission, weird! still LOVE the show!

Well, I guess there will be another episode with flashbacks. Did you guys notice that Giuseppe had died in 1864 (that’s the date on his tomb)? I’m sure there is another story to it (both of his sons were shot, so maybe he wanted to take revenge and failed.. or something). Besides, we know that Emily made the rings for Salvatores.. But when? They did not have them when Katherine was captured. Not to mention that there was a non-verbal communication between Emily and Stefan, so I assume we’re kept in the dark on purpose.

So very fab. Loved the costumes – Nina looked so gorgeous! She really would have fit in well in those times. It’s great seeing the brothers getting along pre-vampire days and learning more about their history. You could really tell that Damon was very much in love with Katherine, although Stefan did say something about wanting her all to himself…Wasn’t Stefan delightfully scary when he was confronting Alaric? And poor Alaric says “I can handle myself” talking about Damon and Stefan just smirks and says “no you can’t”. Then Damon saying that there’s something strange about that teacher like he’s on to something…uh, oh, is Alaric going to be the next to be killed? I hope not, I really like him! So much foreshadowing in this show that you just can’t ignore.
