It’s here, guys. The moment we’ve all been longing for and dreading with equal measure. We’ve been promised an explosive finale with lots of nail-biting cliffhangers to keep us going mad over the agonising Summer hiatus. Are you all ready?

We just want to thank the cast and crew for such a fantastic first season. I don’t think any of us had any idea what such an awesome show this was going to turn out to be. Thank you for this amazing ride you’ve taken us on. We can’t wait to see what you bring us with season 2. Rock on, Vampire Diaries.

12 friends, 5 pizzas,drinks, and husbands/boyfriends banished—-check. Great,outstanding beyond expectations episode of the vampire diaries—double check. WOW GREAT episode, we knew that was Katherine. Loved Elena telling Stefan she loved him. How great is Rick, love him. Bonnie, look out she is on a mission. Damon, love him best when he is the bad guy. Second season, Jeremy wakes up and tries to kick Katherine’s ass, but gets killed. Enter one pissed off Damon. He’ll end up killing her and then becomes Mayor. Long live Stefan and Elena. Love there romance, would it have killed them to give us one more make out session with them. Oh well, the I love you makes us HAPPY. Great first season. Looking forward to season two. We’ll need the summer to recover from our Thursday Vampire Diaries/ pigging out on pizza and drinking nights. Back to reality, Diet time. FANTASTIC EPISODE(SEASON FINALE). The Vampire Diaries did not let us down!! The look on Damon’s face when he saw Elena, dressed like Katherine would have looked in 1864. Damon is without question still in love with Katherine. I think that he wants Elena for that reason. Poor Caroline, hope she makes it. Our sweet Alaric, how great is he for saving Stefan. Bonnie has alot to feel guilty about now. Jeremy, good luck. I think that he won’t last long in season two. There were so many omg moments tonight, loved it. Loveeeee Stefan and Elena. Thank you to the VD’S. My friends and me also are also Toronto fans and loved season one. Please keep up the great work.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! wow fricken wow! i loved every minute of it!!! i cant believe anna died, i really liked her and jermey, & i kinda wish he wouldn’t have drank the blood and started to turn.! & i always knew the lockewoods have to be wolves!!!!!!! i happy bonnie semi-saved/helped damon & stefan, & i dont care if she knows who she is now, she better not lay one hand on either of them!!!(: i was superly hoping in a delena way that damon was kissing elena. omfggggggggggggggggggggggg!!! katherine! i sorta guessed it was katherine by the way she talked to jenna & the looks she gave john tho! i wanted john to die, i dont care if hes elenas father, stefan will help her through it, its not he was a father to her. im so excited for next seasons! will katherine leave or let elena see her then leave or stay and talk to her? will jermey change?? will caroline be ohk? so many questions!! & i really hope that jermey doesnt harm jenna or any other main character when he turns. amazing season!!! congratulationssss! cant wait till next season!!!!

1.Okay…..so I think Damon should have been able to sense that something wasn’t right when he kissed Katherine….I mean he is supposed to have supernatural senses…..I don’t care how great of an Elena act she was doing.

2. Way too soon for Damon to go all goody goody….Damon is supposed to be very torn between his good side and his dark side….I think the writers went over board with the redemption part….

3. Elena should be the one who forces Damon to see that he is good….

4. Jp and KW I don’t want to see a Damon/Bonnie love story….don’t go there!!!

5. Overall this episode was okay and I counted about 3 cliff hangers not the promised 7-9

6. Best part was the ending when Katherine kills uncle John

I actually thought that was a real delena kiss but they tricked us >:[ .
I cant imagine 2 Nina Dobrevs playing at the same time such as if they were to fight or something like that.

I think Jeremy is not going to survive through season 2. But OMG there’s was some signs about tyler being a werefolf not a vampire!!! Cant not wait until season 2. I wish it was September already!!!

Vampire Diaries season 1 finale was 4 words: “OH MY F***ING GOD!” o.O

I went through so many diff emotions, ESPECIALLY as pertains to Damon. Ian reflected such soul and contrition… and in that moment on the porch, my heart almost stopped… until realizing that it wasn’t Elena but Katherine… and geez, why did Ana have to die (hasn’t Jeremy been through enough)…

But wow, what a Season ender!

this episode was so incredible. i dont even have the right words to express how gud it was. YAY Stefan! u love Damon! but we already knew this. Stelena are sooo awesome they r so right together. i actually cried wen i thought Damon and Elena were kissing. it broke my heart. esp wen i think of the worry on Stefan’s face wen Elena was reassuring him. cried like it was me i did… and then wen Elena was acting weird i still had no clue. i was like now that she kissed Damon she is bitchy-fied lol like it’s contagious! lol i only got a clue wen she took up the knife. lol i’m dumb. i just don’t kno how i will survive the summer w/o my TVD!!

WOWWWWWWWWWWW The season finale was truly OUTSTANDING. The Vampire Diaries did not let us fans down. The entire episode was full of omgs,wow and yeah moments. Love Stefan and Elena and there love. Even though I hated Jon, he did add something to the show. Poor Anna. Jeremy should be interesting. Felt so bad for Sheriff Forbes, hope Caroline pulls through. Tyler’s gonna be fun to see, his eye’s were pretty scary looking, can’t imagine how scary he’ll look in full wolf gear. Bonnie is pretty tough and at the same time has a heart,(thank god). Hope Damon does run for Mayor and gets back to being the bad guy.(he is at his best when he’s ripping people apart) Love Alaric. What a twist at the end, Katherine looks like she is going to go crazy.Alot. GREATTTTTT SEASON FINALE I know this is going to sound greedy, but does anyone know the return date for season two? Can i just say i almost literally shyt myself when Damon&Elena where kissing!! All i could think about was poor Stefan!! But then it was Katherine the whole time that krazii evil B**** !!!! Went back and watched that last scene on my DVR…Damon kind of looks back when Jenna closes the door…..I think he may realize that it wasn’t Elena he kissed…….we’ll have to wait until September to see……

I know, it’s too bad there weren’t any love/make out scenes, but oh well- Im happy with the I love you. AWESOME episode!! I can’t believe Katherine is back!!! I knew it was her when she kissed Damon back- she had different clothes than Elena and the way she talked to Jenna.. also the way she looked at John. I was too grossed out with him after we learned he was Elena’s dad, but I don’t think she’ll be too sad he’s gone)

Totally agree!!! I wish there was at least one make out scene with Stefan and Elena to tide us over for the summer, but Im happy with the “I Love You’s”, it was very cute.

You know what, I actually loved Katherine’s appearance, even though she is a b****, she killed John (Good riddance!!!!) haha loved the way she chopped his fingers and was all “Hi Johh.. bye John”.. 1) What is going to happen to Caroline

3) There is the Tyler’s dad is dead thing
4) More wearwolf scenes about Tyler
5) Whats going to happen when Damon comes to face with the real Elena, we also don’t know if Damon knows if he kissed Katherine or not.. so we don’t know if he’s going to say anything to Stefan

I will miss Anna she was so great with Jeremy. Cool with what happened with the mayor and his son can’t wait for that story to unfold. I was waiting for Katherine to show up. In a way I was secretly hoping that was Elena kissing Damon. But I am also glad that it wasn’t. Can’t wait for the second season. Keep up the good work. :)

I so love Katherine being such a bitch, idk why I just do. I really do think that there was something inside Damon that knew he wasn’t kissing Elena. I was sooo upset when Anna died,I just loved her and Jeremy. Can not wait for more :) And hey does any one know when the second season starts?

If that had really been Elena she would have tried to slap him. Is it just me or did anyone else sense that maybe there was a vibe that Bonnie would have feelings for Stefan or was that just my imagination? I’m so glad Bonnie came to her senses and helped Elena and the guys. I hated to see Anna go, but John certainly got what he deserved. I loved Katherine too, she was a bad ass. I think I might like Nina more as Katherine than I do as Elena. So glad Elena and Stefan are still together though. Love my Stefan. I don’t want Damon to get to mushy because then he will be boring. I don’t think Bonnie is into Stefan lol.. I mean she’s understanding in a way, but she’s SOO not into the vampires.. she even said she would kill him if she had to. I think in a way, Damon knew it was Katherine (maybe) because afterwards he paused and it seemed like he knew something was up especially since Elena made it clear she’s not interested and she said it several times throughout the episode that she loves Stefan (I thought that was very cute too). And I think I need to give a big thank you to Katherine for chopping off John’s fingers lol. It’s too bad Anna is gone, loved her so much.

Oh well… I guess Im going to have to buy season 1 on DvD so I can have some Stefan (and Damon) over the break=)

That’s exactly what I said about Damon….but I think in the opening moments of next season we may see that Damon is suspicious as opposed to flat out accepting (it would make more sense that way).

Also I do think it is possible that Bonnie and Stefan could have something, maybe not now but like in season 5, I think there could be some chemistry there….specially since Damon and Elena will be an item by the end of the show anyway…

I too loved Nina as Katherine…..I must say Katherine is scary…..I can’t wait till she and Damon have at it because no one goes near Damon’s Elena without paying the price!!!

You’re right… that would be intense. Just like Stefan using his fathers blood.

The way Katharine played that whole thing was brilliant. (Obviously she’s been watching Elena for a bit to see how she acts) Being nice to Damon and letting him make his move and then how she got invited in and telling Jenna she didn’t want to talk about it and then letting John go on and just listen to him and then BOOM! right at the perfect time just slammed the knife on his fingers. He never saw it coming. And I loved the whole, “Hello John, goodbye John” line.

Yes, I think Damon will end up saving Elena if Katerine doesn’t run away first and it does appear he noticed something was off (I keep watching the kiss scene over and over).

The only real issue I have with the episode is that Damon said way too many thank you’s and was in a way too apologetic (too soon for him to be this way). In my opinion the only person he should have had a heart felt thank you session with was Elena….

My fav scene is when Stefan is telling Damon off after confronting Jeremy…that is a quality scene and is staying true to the nature of there relationship in the book.

I`m dyyyiiing to know how Damon will react to Katherine`s sudden appearance.. the fact that he kissed HER.. and the fact that he will now have to make a real choice.. Elena OR Katherine.. good or evil.. we will see in season 2 if he has really changed.. Stefan`s reaction will also be interesting.. let alone Elena`s! Poor girl.. lol.. she had to go through VAMP boyfriend VAMP mom.. VAMP ancestor who looks JUST like her.. future VAMP brother…

OMG… I just watched. I’m a little dissapoint that real Elena don’t kiss Damon, just Katherine. I love Stefan&Elena. But Damon,he has to change. And I thing that he really deserve for love. Please don’t change back Damon in a bad guy. The second-good- side of Damon is really really interesting. I’m wonder what will happened with Stefan? Did old feelings come back? Did Elena will be hurt? How much is change Damon, Elena and Stefan life, behind the matter of Katherine? I’m so so curious!!! The CW team has do so much good job, but the 3 or maybe more time without TVD? How will I carry it? I don’t have any idea.. ;( I want to now now what will be happened!! Maybe a little promo the second season? Or one or two sneak peak..?

The episode unfolded pretty much how I expected it to, so no shocker moments for me, but really it’s not much about that where I’m concerned anyway … it’s the execution by the cast and crew. And that they did brilliantly. Bravo, all!

Two wishes for Season 2: Let Jenna and Elena find Jeremy in time to take him to the hospital and get his stomach pumped. He’d just be an irritating waste as a vampire. I know he has his character fans out there, but I’m not one of ‘em (McQueen does a good job playing him, though). Let Caroline survive … she’s the only normal teenager in Mystic Falls.

Bonus wish: Please give Stefan’s character some more depth. I like Paul Wesley, but Stefan’s got all the personality of a door knob, which is a waste of his talent. Let’s give Elena a real reason to be torn between the two brothers that’s not based on looks and physical attraction alone. At least when he was bombed out on human blood he had some fire in his belly.

oh my god! this was by far the best season finale ever. oh my god. the ending was incredible. i thought elena was gonna kill him for what he did. but no, i thought wrong, it was katherine. ahh!

i thought there was gonna be delena moment going on, so was bamon(bonnie/damon) hopefully they get together and damon does not mess up.

and for jeremy/anna</3 wow, hopefully jeremy does not turn into a vampire…i hope jenna finds him before he actually turns to one.

and as for tyler, i knew!! i fucking knew it that he was a werewolf, or is one? o__O i hope caroline does not die from that incident they had. oh man, was this in intense episode, yet. i shed a few tears on some parts but this was good. anyways, til the next season!!

OMFG i cant believe my eyes the best episode of vampire diaries ever made i cant believe katherine was there. That was brilliant along with that kiss with damon it was not elena but wonderful episode cant wait to see the next season. so happy to see it in the fall. Hey everybody watch it in the summer there is also a show called moonlight which will be on if you like vampire shows its something to watch.WE wanna try and get on the cw and have it keep going it will be on after vampire diaries. Alex o loughlin is in it and he is damn sexi
