We can hardly believe it, but it’s here. The season 2 finale. Frankly, we’re not even going to try and guess what they have in store for us tonight. We’re just going to go with the flow and see where they take us… and where they leave us hanging at the end of it all.

The Emmy’s need to get a life. Brilliant writing is brilliant writing. Great acting is great acting. Period, full stop. ;) Awards aside they are winners in my book… and the countless others who not only watch the shows but spend (way to much time *points to self*) online commenting & discussing the stories. I do not know why but your comments always irritate me. And I know everyone is entitled to have different opinions but yours usually get me hard. I think the reason is that you already decided on things and you will hold on to interpret them certain way no matter what. I will not even try to reason with you and point how “judgy” your comments are because you simply do not get it. Now, I truly apologize if offended you but I have no other words to describes my frustration after reading this. Anyway, I wish you open your mind and heart in S3. I read somewhere that only small minds never change perspectives. I do not think you have a small mind but I feel you need to free yourself from clouds which clearly do not let you see things more objectively and openly.

I am the same age as you so perhaps we see things a little differently. Again, I realize people may and will different opinions but I cannot stand when someone is commenting on things via “deviated” sense of judgment.

I would hope he’d do the same thing & I figured that’s what you would say. I love the brother relationship more than any romance triangle on the show. To me that’s really the heart of the show. I am a HUGE Stefan, but I still like Damon too. I loved how Damon went after the tomb vamps after they had taken Stefan last season. That made me really start to like him. I about bawled my eyes out watching Stefan go through that & was so happy when Damon & Ric came busting in to get him! I loved how they were working together at the beginning of this season as well & I hope they can get back to that after they fix Stefan. I don’t have sons, but I have 2 nephews who say & do the same thing though! LOL=)

You have a good point, but I think that the witches wanted to punish Bonnie, so even though they brought Jeremy back to life, he can now see his past dead loves/girlfriends, which will in turn torment him and keep him from fully loving Bonnie.

Alaric’s apartment appeared to be a small studio style apartment with only bare necessities and was a rental. There was no fluff at all in Ric’s apartment – clothes, booze and weapons. His refrigerator was pretty bare too. Alaric does not strike me as the type to buy a condo in Mystic Falls. He was spending most of his time at the Gilbert house with Jenna this season. When he first came to town he was looking for answers about Isobel and the vampire that killed her. He did not look like the kinda guy that was going to settle down in Mystic Falls permanently by purchasing a condo.

Klaus is a hybrid so even in werewolf form I doubt if anyone could penetrate his body to get to his heart. The only reason Elijah was able to do at the sacrifice was because Klaus, for the first time, was in a weakened state. I doubt if that will happen again, plus he can change at will now, not just on a full moon. Klaus is now the most powerful being to ever walk the earth and has the ability to procreate. Originals can’t die and cannot be burned or beheaded.
Only the dagger dipped in white oak ash from the original tree can neutralize an Original by putting them into a hybernated state. This leads me to believe either Klaus took at least 8 branches from the original tree before the family burned it, or there is more than one dagger. After all, his family is in coffins, neutralized and apparently travel with him wherever he goes. However, the dagger nor a branch will work on Klaus because he is a hybrid.
I have no idea what the writers have planned for this one, but I will definitely be tuning in to find out.

I actually think it was waaay better than any kind of sexy hot sluttish kiss. It was pure and tender. And it was keeping Elena as Elena and not making her Katherine in a second. There couldn’t have neen a better kiss!

Elena is 17 and she behaves very mature in most of the situations. She showed that she has feelings for Damon because she knew that he needed to know how she feels about him. Although he did many bad things – he did so much to save Elena’s life.

And we shouldn’t forget: She’s 17 and she is surrounded by two hot guys who both want her and love her – just let her be a little confused by her feelings for the two awesome brothers :)

Actually I understood no supernatural being, or demon, could handle the dagger against another demon without being punished, it was the only way to keep the balance.I am not really sure 100% this was a “wanted” twist by the writers, could also sound like an oversight :)

And once again an afterthought: Isn´t it sad, that Damon has to almost die before Elena is able to tell him that she likes him the way he is. He made many mistakes but almost everything he did came out of utter love and from the right place. Hope Elena realizes that in season 3 and it will be a true love triangle.

Hey TVD-fans, does anybody think of the problem (for season 3) how to kill the Klaus-hybrid ??!! I think the nature-balance doesn´t allow somebody beeing unkillable … so the witchcraft has to do its homework and find out where the achilles-point is with klaus, yes? Maybe the original-family has to be connected. Did Klaus have only all siblings or his parents too ? What´s the story of the first petrova-original? Is it of any interest for the storyline ? Questions over questions and no answers until September… really….?!?!

But, (and I quote whoever that said ‘There is always a but’) there are others who at least TRY not to view the world in a black and white manner. Like you said, there are always greys. And there is always different people.
I love TVD as a whole, for all it’s characters and story lines. Choosing a favorite-would be Damon. But this does not mean I don’t realize whenever he is wrong, or that I ever chose him because he was “the hotter more superior choice”. I also adore Stefan, for all he is. I don’t really ship DE or SE a lot, but I’m happy when Damon is not is so much pain, which means Elena needs to be around him.

Anyways, the point I’m getting at is that I dislike typical teens that watch the show just for shipping a particular couple, and I dislike it just as much as you do when you see irrelevant and unnecessary swear words and absolutely no perspective on the show.

But not everyone is the same. I hate being the Devil’s advocate, but I think there couldn’t have been a better time for me watching TVD than in my teen years. I mean, Elena is a 17-year old herself, and it is implied that she goes to high school with her awesome witch and vamp friends Bonnie and Caroline. And like I said before, teens are obsessive, so The Vampire Diaries is a lucky show because it’s the favorite of energetic young people who are loyal to the show. after every episode, going to class next morning and discussing it with all my friends, even the guys, who now thanks to me feel like they are related to all the characters on TVD. The other day we were asked to write Impersonate loneliness in Descriptive Writing, I was Damon and got an A :D , (who would have thought vampire diaries helps in academics?)

I love to read your thoughtful analysis of everything vamplover1973, and all of you really, you all put many things into perspective. But I wouldn’t generalize all teens to be the same. :-)

HI Momina- No, no, no….I wasn’t generalizing all teens to be the same. I remember what it was like when I was a teenager…and you’re right, teens are obsessed with everything. I just wanted to point out that Elena, at age 17, can’t possibly know how she’s going to feel at at 25, or age 30 for that matter….feelings change. She may be in love with Stefan now, but a year from now? You see what I mean. Guest said he found Elena disgusting, I don’t think that’s fair. I thought what she did for Damon was very giving and very special. She most certainly can’t be compared to Katherine.

All the cast and writers of this show are aware they have a huge teenage fanbase, which I think is great. But, they also need to be aware they have an older audience, too. (Which I’m a member of) It cracks me up when they do interviews and they talk about the teens, and I’m listening to them going….”But what about my age group???”….LOL:)

@Guest! & @Rehabber: In reply to your “don’t watch comments”. I watched the episode because I happen to enjoy the show. I thought season 2 rocked (up until this episode). As I happen to like both Delena and Stelena, I’ve had the best of both worlds all season:-). More importantly, I ship Team Scooby. I didn’t get all the “What are they doing to my Damon? Where’s the promised triangle? Too much Stelena. Not enough Stelena!” complaints I’ve heard all year. I didn’t agree with them but I respected them. I ask for the same courtesy. This is a reaction poll and post thread and that was and still is my reaction (though I’m less aggravated now). As I said before, yes I enjoyed the Delena moments (and I enjoyed Damon’s biting Elena a bit too much:-)) up until the kiss. I personally felt like the kiss should’ve been…more. I mean Damon was on his deathbed as far as Elena knew. It was now or never. There’s been chemistry all year and plenty of it. Elena pretty much spent the episode trying to get to Damon’s side. She even busted out the window of the Sheriff’s office and lept for it. All to get to Damon. And after Damon lays his heart out at her feet, all she says is “I like you” and pecks him on the lips? All I could think was – that’s it? And then to have Kat walk in at that moment was so contrived and obvious – to me. However, if you felt that moment was the “epic” Delena kiss you’ve waited all season for then I’m honestly happy for you.Oh and Rehabber, fast-paced doesn’t bother me, loose-ends do. I happen to enjoy the pace. Noboby takes five eps to die etc… I didn’t enjoy the lack of resolution they promised. Other than Caroline and Liz there wasn’t any resolution in this finale, they just open more doors. Honestly, this ep didn’t feel like a finale at all more like a spring board for Season 3. @Momina_ Amjad Please don’t presume to tell me how I felt or what I thought or “prejudged” before i watched the episode. dorkus, I remember your commenting on things from season 1. Every time you comment to anyone who is not a delena fan you ride the person or put down there opinion. Some of us are not delena fans and never will be. Just like you have made it clear you are a and will always be a delena fan. All comments whether we agree or disagree are open for discussion and we are all entitled to our opinions.

It wasn’t that long ago that I was also a teen (we were all there at some time) and it is quite possibly one of the most difficult periods in a person life. There are many comments on this website that do appear to be black and white to me, and there is no proof that all of these comments come from teens. I appreciate your thoughts and thank you for making me more aware of how my own comments may be considered by others.

I sort of agree with you on Stelena getting a bit stale. I actually believe their love is true and I dont believe Elena was being unfaithful to Stefan when she kissed Damon. She just developed feelings for Damon over time, inspite of herself, feelings deeper than she is willing to admit. Stefan and Elena wil probably get back together but it wouldnt hurt to switch things up a bit for a while.

Giving himself up for Damon was the deepest form of brotherly love Stefan could’ve shown. I love him more now. There was no other way, and Damon was running out of time. Story-wise he’s about to embark on a whole new, edgy journey of his own, which for us as the audience will be a thrill ride! People get bored of broody, responsible goody-2-shoes. I feel like the new Stefan will have a charm of his own. Eventually he will fight back and find his way back to goodness. and perhaps Elena (or not).

Damon will NOT STEAL Elena! He couldn’t, not after knowing what his brother did for him! He’s gonna go looking for Stefan and might be the one to wake up Klaus’ siblings to help him bring Stefan back. I feel like Elena will be the one who will start falling for Damon during this quest. And I’m all for Delena right now.

Oh Jeremy…always getting way too in over his head. Yay for Anna! Their return is not real/permanent anyway. I just don’t find his relationship with Bonnie convincing…don’t see the chemistry. Vicki should go back to being dead/written off.
Love love love Caroline and Tyler. Want them to remain prominent in season 3.

Hey. Yes, you have every right to comment whatever you want, and what you feel or think about the episode, but your comment did come across as a bit judgey to me. You don’t have to be Klaus to notice that. At that moment I was really excited about how epic the finale was, and your comment was a bit of a downer for me, whether you choose to accept that or not.

Just so you know, I also don’t watch TVD for Delena or Stelena. But that kiss was in every way the best thing at that time. There couldn’t have been a purer, more real and more tender emotion than those Damon Elena moments. And again, these are my opinions and I’m not and can not force them on you. I apologize if any of what I said came across as rude.

I am honest enough to admit my frustration could have been exaggerated by my hormones. I’m nearly four months pregnant and hormonal as h***! LOL (If I could’ve staked Katherine in that moment, she’d be history!) I may watch the episode again after having this baby and love it:-) Maybe. But I’ve decided to look on the bright side for now. At least all of Team Scooby made it through the finale:-).
