Just because John Gilbert is Elena’s biological father, does not mean he will gain custody of Elena. He abandoned her at birth, not to mention she is 17 maybe 18 now and can choose who she wants to live with. Aunt Jenna should not take Uncle John’s threats too seriously. He does not have a leg to stand on in family court.

Hello Iansfan, late night I saw the episode and I’m agree with you about Stefan & Elenas “romantic-week-end”. For me the scenes could be longer, also the dialouges about their future.
One point I don’t understand where knows the young werewolve all about the moonstone and the curse?

I agree that I am tired of Damon getting whipped by everyone, except Elijah..You know I was hoping for that one. What was in that syringe given to Damon? He has been drinking vervain, but since they had to use all of it, maybe just a huge dose of vervain to take him down.
I could take LOTS more of the Ric and Damon show. lol

And I love David Anders, he is always great as the character that is hard to figure out…good/bad??? One ep I think maybe he has changed, then BOOM bad again. :)

Damon will never develop a bro-mance with Elijah. Elijah intends to allow the sacrifice of Elena to go through, meaning she dies. Damon will never let that happen. Not to mention Elijah told Damon that once he is no longer of use to him he intends to kill him.

Damon’s plan is to kill Elijah before Klaus shows up and he will be trying out every possibility that comes his way. One Original at a time please.

Elijah looks at Damon as a young whippersnapper with zero respect and zero manners that needs a spanking. However, like Katherine, Elijah has underestimated Damon. Why? Damon is in love with the sacrificial lamb (Elena) and he is fighting for her not himself.

As for what was in the syringe that took Damon down, I have no idea, but it took the whole syringe because Damon is extremely strong and very tenacious . Truthfully, I did not think Damon looked a bit worried or afraid of the big bad wolves. Actually, he had started describing to Jules what the end result was going to be. I don’t think Damon was going to have any trouble breaking those chains and snatching a few hearts of his own. When Elijah walked in the room Damon sat back and let him do all the work.

I am still wondering what the first time was that Elijah saved Damon’s life. There was no fight at Slater’s apartment, which means no “save”. However, Elijah did “spare” Damon to use as Elena’s protection detail.

I think Elijah is going to find it more difficult keeping everyone in line than he first thought. Elena has friends and family that are not willing to let her die.

I want to see Isobel and Elijah knocking heads and I had never thought of them together until I saw this video.

Actually liked the Stefan Elana scenes, need to see more of their relationship, with everything else going on you kind of loose the chemistry and magic that we all saw in the beginning.

Like Andi Damon would love for her to work out his mind control and call him on it, think there will be some very sweet and funny scenes with them.

Love Alaric Damon, team badass brilliant, screamed noooooo! at the telly during the Damon torture scene but it also managed to make me laugh too, especially his face when Elijah started ripping out hearts left, right and centre.

Feel a bit sad for Tyler, what a rollercoaster he’s been on in just a couple of days, glad he told Matt to man up before he left, not sure about the wisdom of him leaving with Jules, would of like to see him trust his friends but guess that would have been to simple, this way he can come back and prove himself after he has worked through everything thats happened to him.

Really looking forward to Stefan’s confession and Damon’s dinner party, gosh soooo grogous AND cooks dinner ………perfect :o)

Hi GP- Yes, he will. There is no “give up” in his body as far as saving Elena is concerned. There is no doubt he will find a way. I guess we will all have to sit back and take the punishment with him (cringe!). I’ve read some comments that think The Dinner Party is a half baked stupid idea of Damon’s…don’t these people realize that he has to try? He knows Klaus is coming to town, he knows Klaus plans to kill Elena, he knows Elijah plans to let the Sacrifice go forward (which means Elena dies) so he (Elijah) can kill Klaus….John Gilbert (cringe again) gave Damon what he claims is a way to kill an Original….don’t people understand that it is much better to try it out on Elijah than on Klaus, who is probably a gazillion times stronger? Elijah is the only Original in town at the moment. Damon has to know if this works….much better to know if it works now than wait until Elena is lying down on the sacrificial alter! (Triple cringe!)

I thought the kiss between Bonnie and Jeremy was hot. If there is a future for Bonnie and Jeremy? This two will move up in ratings. My friends and I really enjoy this show.

This episode wasnt as bad as everyone seems to have said it would be.It had lots of action and the scenes between Elena and STefan were very sweet.Tyler seemed so sorry when he realized what they were planning to do and he tried to right it by saying sorry to everyone including Elena and he even told Matt Caroline needed him.I just dont think he feels he belongs there anymore but its taked alot to apologize and admit when you are wrong .Hope Tyler comes bad because hes not all that bad just lost and confused.The Alaric scenes with Damon working with him were funny and alot of bromance going on .All and all i liked this ep except Jules .She needs to be put in her place .She doesnt care who she hurts and she has absolutely no remorse.Damon needs to kill her but i realize she has a whole place in the scheme of things.But in the end i still hope Damon kills her for what she did to Rose and Caroline.Cant wait for the next ep.After all not every ep can be perfect!!

You’re right Mac, but then again, I would have expected them ( at least George himself, if not his descendants) to be a bit like Klaus, and maybe research the topic a little. Klaus is trying to find a way to break the curse without the doppelganger, isn’t he? (Ok, not very successful so far apparently). Researching the subject BEFORE having the stone stolen from them couldn’t have hurt, could it?
You’re also right, maybe they all but forgot about their curse, but then the last werewolf in the line wasn’t a very responsible one if he did not leave anything for his descendants to hold on to when they turned (if they turned). However, it’s true that both Mason and Tyler were pretty clueless.
