He wants them both.He wants Katherine to make her pay for turning herself into a vampire and ruining his plan back in the 1400′s. He wants Elena to use as a sacrifice now. Whatever his plan is he wanted Katherine first.

Just when you think the previous episode was incredible they go and blow our minds with this one. I would love to have taken my blood pressure before, during and after. LOL Jenna…had us in tears. You wanted Ric to be honest. Now you don’t want to talk. Running away…seriously. Isobel, standing over her grave talking about her parents visiting…tears again. Catching fire and her skin literally burning, melting…bloody horrific. Elena has a strong stomach. LOL BTW, how smart was Elena, she was pretty much the only one who seen right threw Isobel. Dammit Stefan! you were there to protect the woman you love. Katherine and the soap dish. I thought it was a great place for Damon to hide it. Who the hell uses decorative soap? That’s why it’s decorative. John and Elena’s scene…kleenex time again. Kinda feel sorry for John, he does try to help save Elena. She’s lost so many people she loves…that is her dad. I think she knows he’s just trying to protect her. That being said. Loved the punch to the face Alaric game him. Bonnie, I cannot wait to see her in full kick ass mode. It was pretty scary with all those witches talking/screaming. Matt and Liz working together…I really hope I’m wrong but it really doesn’t look good for Caroline. Obviously Liz is going to try and hatch a plan to take down Stefan, Damon and Caroline. Wonder if Caroline told Matt about Tyler. Alaric…dear God! That ending was unfreakin believable. Talk about blowing our minds/confusion/horror/stunned. Seriously you never seen a bunch of women sitting in a room saying, “what the hell just happened” LOL Stefan, Damon and there secret weapon…our Bonnie. Had better step up there game. How can they ever beat Klaus? Loved this episode!

This episode shot straight into my top 5..it had everything. Bonnie got to be awesome , Elena got herself a mansion, Damon snarked his heart out , Isobel went up like a firework , Alaric is now a vampire puppet, Stefan got tossed in a bush and one of sheriff forbes plans didn’t fail…phew.

Wow I just realized that Matt took vervain before Caroline compelled him to forget about her being a vampire. Haha totally missed that whole part…shoot!

They say that ab-scence makes the heart grow fonder. Well, after last night, I am definitely falling in love again with this show. The time away was giving me wandering eyes …sad to say. There is only so much one can take.
What imaginations the writers do posess! Both Matt and Alaric needed their roles to grow or change, they sure got it. Wonder no more about how Klaus was going to show himself. My snarky, lovable Damon will hopefully show more of himself; and with the moonstone, you just had to say “oh no he di’n't’. What…oh what will sheriff Forbes do with all her new found info?
I love the pace of the show, they had so many of our senses reeling. So many unexpected little nuggets. I think it may be one of the few shows I could watch for hours…
Can’t wait to see what plot develops next week.

Yeah, I remember when the wolf took Damon down I just thought it was filled with some kind of pain med to put him to sleep. But yeah big difference between 145 years and 2. lol

No, I think Klaus is temporarily using Alaric’s body. I think Bonnie will force Klaus out with a spell in the next episode. And I agree, Joseph Morgan is AWESOME!!!

I think the possession thing has a lot to do with vampire blood (and is a reason I don’t think that Alaric will die-unless a Scooby kills him). Basically, a vampire’s blood can bring someone to life right? If a human is dying, drinking the blood brings them back and if a human has vampire blood in their system when they die, they will come back to life, albeit as a vampire. So it actually makes sense to me that if enough of a single vampire’s blood was in a human (and from those vases it looked like a lot of blood was transfused), a powerful enough witch with the right spell could first put the human’s mind/spirit to sleep and then bring the vampire’s spirit to the conscious forefront. Kind of like how on Fringe right now, Olivia is still there but William Bell is the one in control of the body. Okay so if you’re still following, I don’t think its a normal possession (not like when Emily possessed Bonnie). As long as the blood is there, Klaus is in charge. Hence the reason if the blood fades out of Alaric’s system (before someone can kill him), Alaric would be okay. Though if he keeps the accent that’s cool with me.

My only theories on why Alaric is that a) Alaric is trusted by everyone-he can get farther along than any other person. The supernatural kids can’t be risked since the sacrifice needs them and I’d bet that if he used Jeremy, Bonnie would be able to sense it. (The preview does seem to imply that Bonnie figured it out first). b) I think the fact that Alaric has died and come back to life-thanks to the Gilbert ring-makes him able to handle the possession. So John or Jeremy could be used too but like I said, John isn’t trusted and Jeremy spends too much time around Bonnie.

I don’t think Alaric is dead though. I think he’s sort of been put to sleep, so that Klaus’ spirit can be in control. I just don’t see Alaric as actually being dead yet.

Going off my above statement, if Klaus is possessing Alaric to weaken Bonnie, that would mean the Scooby gang would definitely need Elijah back to help them. My bet is that Elena does it. Pissed as Elijah would be, he can’t kill Elena if he wants to beat Klaus.

And, remember Elena was pretty damn smart. She made Elijah swear he wouldn’t harm anyone on her endangered species list no matter what they did to him. That means Elijah can’t revenge kill.

Klaus is not using Alaric to weaken Bonnie. At this point Klaus and his warlock, Maddox, could care less about Bonnie other than the fact she is on his list of people to kill. Klaus is instilling fear into Elena and those around her. He is sadistic and loves to “toy” with his victims. He plans to kill everyone that she cares about and isolate her. Having Isobel remove her day walking necklace in front of Elena knowing what the end result would be was traumatic impact. Using Alaric is just a part of paving the way for his arrival and letting them get a sample of what he can do. Klaus intends to paint the little town of Mystic Falls in RED…Blood Red. Maybe his name should be Satan Klaus….. NO that would be too much.

BTW….Why are you calling the Mystic Falls gang on the Vampire Diaries the Scooby Gang? The Scooby gang was from Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Two entirely different cult shows. Actually, I loved Scooby Doo. At one time he was my hero. Scooby Dooby Doo!!!

You responded to one of my comments and I responded back giving you my thoughts to your theory. No one dissed what you were saying. I just disagreed regarding Klaus taking over Alaric’s body to weaken Bonnie. I don’t think that is why Klaus is using Alaric as a “vessel”. At this point Damon and Stefan think Bonnie is the “secret weapon”. Hopefully she is, but I doubt it.

Could be Melissa- also, if she’s forced to fight Klaus next week, it will also make a statement to the rest group- Ric is a trusted friend.

I think that will happen in the next episode. The clip that it was in was for the remaining episodes until the finale.

I was thinking,”WTH!?” after this last episode. All I will say is this, it took me up until Caroline was turned to warm up to her. So, I hope she lives. Liz on the other hand…Pfft! Not the momma! Caroline is better off with her dad and his bf. And how is Matts mom the succubus doing?

Omg people..face it: isobel didnt commit suicide!! If you listen carefully the guy says: “Your part is finished. You do what I COMPELLED YOU TO DO.” So obviously he compelled her to kill herself after doing her part!! either way that part was amazing..the whole series is <3

This episode was Awesome!!! i can’t wait for the next episode now :)
