I have to disagree on the pure lust thing. If it was purely lust something would’ve happened a long time ago when Stefan was M.I.A. It was someone who has been in love with a woman he can’t have being given a stolen moment with her. It was a woman who has been denying her feelings for someone she isn’t suppose to love. The result was an exploion. I know she professes her love for Stefan but since Klaus took him away they’ve been broken up. Stefan has been pushing her away all along so despite her love for him she isn’t technically involvee with anyone right now. Stefan hasn’t even allowed her to kiss him. She is toying with both brothers’ emotions even if she isn’t intentionally meaning to. It’s a mess all the way around. I hate seeing the heartbreak.

Hi VampLover1973,  I agree the lower ratings have nothing to do with a hiatus because all network shows do the same thing.  I loved it when “24″ started up in January and ran without a hiatus.  However, I don’t think I would want to wait from June until January for TVD to grace my TV screen. That is just too long without Damon Salvatore. ;)

Kevin said in interviews it was a handful of Stelena fans sending the death threats to him and Julie.  It happens every time they have an episode with Damon and Elena getting closer.  It is becoming a trend from a “handful” of Stelena fans.  This does not and should not reflect at all on the Stelena fan base as a whole.  It is only a very small group of that fanbase that is doing this.   Kevin did not say the death threats come from Delena fans.

Julie went on to say the Damon/Elena fandom isn’t innocent either, because by warring with each other, meaning Delena
fans vs Stelena fans,  which feeds into this behavior and results in the trend of “death threats” by a handful of Stelena fans whenever it is written for Damon and Elena to have a close romantic moment.   Better to sit back and enjoy the
show.

This is ridiculous when a “shipper war” goes to this extreme over fictional characters on a TV show.  I can understand being passionate about a show you enjoy, or passionate about your favorite characters, but as part of the TVD fan base, I’m embarrassed and appalled by this behavior.  This has to be coming from a group of very unstable people.  Death threats to Kevin and Julie….. Really? Unbelievable!  I know it is happening, but it is very hard for me to wrap my mind around this one.

All I can say now is “Long live TVD and hope it will continue to prosper”.   :)

I don’t feel like doing the one up game and I know you think you know all things Delena and I say that not to be disrespectful to you.  I can remember a time when Kevin tweeted  Delena’s were threatening back in season 2.    But, both fanbase’s say some pretty petty or bad things.  Good night

 It’s really sad when people do that to the creators of our show. All this does is bring attention to our beloved show, and not in a good way.=(

Ok, After watching this for the 2nd time with my dad he brought up a very good question that I don’t think anyone has talked about on here or maybe I just missed it. Does Jeremy know about what’s going on with Alaric? Did Elena tell him about the ring & the effects of what might happen to him, that Ric has become a serial killer, that he is locked up back home in the Salvatore cell or have I missed something? Shouldn’t they have clued Jeremy in on a few things that have been happening. And Stefan made the comment to Ric that Elena was worried about Jeremy because she couldn’t count on his ring anymore. Did he mean to protect him from death? Because Ric keeps coming back when he dies even though it drives his dark side to come out now.

 Jeremy died once I guess (twice but the second time it was bonnie who brought him back to life) because of the ring and rick died…. OMG I have no idea how many times! So I guess it depends on how often do you use the ring;)

I meant as in bossy. Don’t you remember the episode at the Ball??? All three characters had a conversation about it. Even Elena told Stefan something like “at least YOU still let me make my own decisions” and that it was nice to see that that hasn’t changed between them. And, also, Stefan had an argument with Damon and said things would be better if Damon let her make her own decisions.

Those people are kind of the fair weathered fans really. Only fans when things go their way. Plus they’re just unstable. :0)

The only reason i’d switch your number 1 & 2 for me personally is because Katherine’s “I never loved you line” right in the middle was so crushing to Damon. At least in the last episode Elena waited until later before she burst his bubble. LOL

Stefan to Klaus: Get the Hell out of my house.

Caroline to Tyler: The difference is Damon doesn’t care. (Obviously you don’t know Damon that well)

 and I still don’t believe this “I never loved you”. She chose to save Damon’s life instead of getting Klaus killed which she was hoping for for many more years than she knew Damon. I am not so sure about this “I never loved you”

 See everyone has their own opinion. I love to watch the cute romance between Stefan and Elena. It will never get boring for me. Damon and Elena is hot and sexy and Stefan and Elena is romantic and cute. Some like the first some like the 2nd.
Season 1 and 2 must have been terrible boring for you. I wonder who you even made it to season 3

Maybe but he saved his life before in the woods and that was when he cared even less.

 No that was the episode with the bachelor raffle when Elena is helping him with the buttons on his shirt. Someone asked Julie about it and she tweeted “someone is in big trouble now” :-)

maybe I may add something to your comment. In my opinion there are more signs that tell us that Damon really loves somebody. Watch his bodylanguage:he touches women if he is flirting (or making out with Andie, Bex, Katherine, Matt´s mum, Isobel…) And in these scenes women can touch him too. But as soon as he is upset, nobody is allowed to touch him (not even Ric) but Elena is (e.g. after he failed to kill Klaus) He allows physical closeness to those he feels mentally close to as well. And far more significant than that: Damon only shows true feelings to those he loves (Rose -although he keeps on teelling that he wasn´t in love with her, Stefan – he has lately been able to tell him what he feels about Elena and about their brotherly bond , Elena – he opens up to her especially. When they talk I get the feeling that the stone wall around his soul comes down a tiny little bit. (So sad that I see that but Elena doesn´t…) and Ric – after some hiccups he lets him be his friend more and more and now even cares enough to put him on his daily rescue plan.

So my perception is that watching Damon having sex or making out with any kind of woman is highly entertaining but not really useful to show the dephts of feelings. ( as soon as he “puts the flirt on” – like Stefan put it – I start breathing heavily and want to be part of it, no matter if it is Isobel on the couch, Andy in the bath tub or Katherine with the back on the wall.)

What I loved in his kiss scenes with Elena however was that he was so gentle, careful not to hurt her or to spoil the moment. (Not that I don´t like him hot and passionate, but all those scenes of near touching with deep glances into Elena´s showed how precious this girl is for him and how careful he tries not to destroy what has finally developed between those two.

I really hope so !! It’s Time for her to explore her feelings for Damon those feelings are there from the first season,but she was denying them !once she said to him at the very begining :” you & me we have something ” now this little stg is turning into strong feelings that can’t be denying !
Im looking forward to see them together ! Damon won’t be a sweet lover who agree with evrything she says !he will chalenge her . Their relationship will not be boring that’s for sure !

Yeah that might have something to do with it, because Jeremy did died just twice. And Alaric, well I’ve almost lost count, but I think about 7 or it could be 8 now that Klaus snapped his neck again. Poor Ric. I have a feeling his days are numbered.

 Yeah, but things have changed since then. Look at what Klaus has put everyone through. In all honesty, I’m not so sure even Stefan would want to take a chance. I know he might like Tyler and all, but if it came down to it & he had to choose, Tyler would end up being collateral damage. I can’t say I really blame either of them really. A question though, do you think because Tyler has doppelganger blood in him as well that might save him? That’s suppose to be a supernatural element too. Even though he was turned by Klaus’s blood, do you think it might make a difference?

I’ve never understood why Katherine told Damon that either. She then told him she could only save one of them when she made a deal with John & Isobel and she chose Stefan. But at the end of last season she told Elena it was ok to love them both because she did. And then she told Stefan in the homecoming episode that she had loved them both & that’s why she saved him. Geez! I guess she & Elena are more alike than we realize.

It’s an excellent question. I keep thinking how Klaus will be able to survive any attempt mommie dearest has at wiping out the original vamps is due to his hybrid self. I keep thinking the vamp side of him might die but the werewolf side will allow him to still live. If that’s true then I would guess the same would apply to Tyler. They have that dual nature in their favor.
