The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesRelate Mag has a conversation with Sara Canning up (you’ll have to register to read the entire thing). She offers great insight into Jenna and how her time at Vancouver Film School helped prep her for the industry.

Relate: The Vampire Diaries was the biggest premiere the CW has had yet-how has that changed your life the most?

Sara: The really life-changing thing is actually having the privilege to be a series regular on a show that’s been so well received by its audience. It’s my first experience being a regular, and it’s been awesome having so much time to develop and get to know the role of Jenna, and really enjoy her story arcs.

And Digital Spy caught up with Jennifer Bryan, Vampire Diaries’ costume designer, who drops all kinds of interesting tidbits about what to expect as we head towards the season finale. She talks Melinda Clarke, her favorite character to dress, and quite a few other things. The interview is definitely spoilery, so proceed with caution!

Are the flashbacks going to become more and more prominent?
“Yes they are and they’re really stretching them out – you will start to see more of a connection between present day and flashbacks. There is a lot of crossover in the storyline. I can’t tell you any more though – I’ve probably given you too much already!”

I’m confused.. The costume designer says that “Right now I’m prepping episode 18 which takes us back to 1864″. I thought that there was only one flashback episode left (season finale?) and Kevin Williamson was writing it when the cast was shooting episode 18..? Later on she claims that season finale hasn’t been written yet, but she says things like Yes they are and they’re really stretching them out – you will start to see more of a connection between present day and flashbacks. which I would link to Julie Plec’s description of the last episode this event called the Founders’ Day Celebration (…) It’s going to be the big event that connects us back to 1864 and what went down back then.. Help, please?
