He is cute, but why does everyone on this show has to be hooked up with someone?

  • Charlie

    I’m calling warlock.

It’s about time this cutie graced the TV screen again.

    I was hoping a vampire.

  • Ariel Lopez81

I’ve never seen him play a serious role, or a dramatic role is he any good? Because I’ve only seen him on One on One.

  • CheckeredYcats

Not if its a love interest for Bonnie. That would be completely out of character for her, even if she is upset about her break up with Jeremy.

    I’m calling Luka 2.0

  • CheckeredYcats

Yay! Finally someone for Bonnie!! Am I the only one hoping he’s human? He’s probably a warlock, which I guess would be good, because she wouldn’t have to lie, but I’m hoping he’s human so she can have at least a little normal in her crazy life.

  • CheckeredYcats

Anyone want to take a guess at how many episodes he’s in before he’s killed off? LOL… actually, that’s not funny, every guy she shows interest in either is trying to kill her or her friends (Ben, Luka) or he dies (dude Caroline chowed down on when she turned) or there’s Jeremy…  I’m not a big Bonnie fan, but geez, let her have a little happiness.

I don’t believe Bonnie hates vamps anymore.

  • James_Evers

No you’re not. I actually hoping he’s a hybrid, werewolf, since Tyler is offficially not one anymore, or even a vampire hunter like Alaric, but not a witch, I kinda only want my favorite Bonnie to have that supernatural power. It makes her unique to me personally. Though I have to admit, I was hoping her and Matt would have something going, despite the fact that they have such great chemistry… Actually, Bonnie has chemistry with all the male characters except for Jeremy.

  • Sapphire

But she wouldn’t date one. CheckeredYcats is right: Bonnie may trust the Salvatores, to a certain degree, but she would not date a vampire, and it would take a lot of time for her to trust one who’s outside of her immediate circle.

And if one of you out there is thinking that Bonnie may not know that he’s avampire at first… Bonnie would be able to feel that he’s one. Just like she could for Ben, Katherine, and Stefan.

  • CheckeredYcats

Exactly. Bonnie has a mutual understanding with the Salvatores and Caroline is one of her best friends (though that took effort after she turned), but she’s still a witch and her outlook on vampirism hasn’t really changed. I’m sure that her Grams and Emily would be rolling in there graves if she ever dated a vampire, and I think Bonnie knows that. Bonnie could change in the future, but as of now, she would not date a vampire.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Bonnie is the least interesting character for me. I would rather see them develop her as a character before they hook her up with another love interest.

  • Henrita

NOOOOOOO! IWANTED MATT COHEN!!!!! NO NO NO!!!! :((((

  • lynn

Bonnie and Jeremy are so getting back together.

I wonder how long he’ll be staying for. I can’t see him staying too long since he is a guest star afterall. They usually have a short life span.

omg he plays on the remake of house of wax.

For someone who is supposed to be Elena’s absolute best friend (as in, they would die for each other), Bonnie is arguably the most underdeveloped major character in the show. What little we know about Bonnie is:

She’s a witch, learning to understand and grow into her powers.

She’s a child of divorce – her mother, who’s a witch also, left the family.  We have no idea what she feels toward her mother, but that should be explored after the hiatus since her mother is joining the cast.

Her father is not a warlock and we don’t know very much about him except that he doesn’t seem to be into the witch stuff so she doesn’t think she can confide in him. (Yet for some inexplicable reason she spent the entire last summer with him and his side of the family, which kept her away from her best friend’s 18th birthday party!)

We know she absolutely adored her Grams, who seemed to be both mother and father to her.

She absolutely hated vampires in S1 but has now come to some kind of understanding with the Salvatore brothers and Caroline, although I think she still doesn’t really approve of vampires. After all, her Grams taught her that ”vampire problems drag witches down”.

She doesn’t have much sexual experience – she flirted with Luca and slept with Jeremy (her first, I guess?).

She’s loyal to her friends – mostly; Caroline was a tough sell after she turned but Bonnie eventually came around.

She seems like a sweet girl with a big heart.

I don’t think she’s very happy, but that’s just my supposition.

But, despite all of the above, what do we really KNOW about Bonnie?  What forces have shaped her?  What does she feel about herself as a woman?  What does she want her future to be like?
What does she think about her life in Mystic Falls?  What kind of person does she want to be?  Is she happy? Is she comfortable with relationships with the opposite sex?

These are some of the things about Bonnie I would like to learn. She played an important role in S1and S2 even though we didn’t learn a lot about her.  S3 has not been too good to her so far.  I hope it improves.

i dont think she slept with jeremy. she is still a virgin

  • Henrita

Ive decided to give him a chance

I’m pretty sure Jeremy and Bonnie’s relationship was not to the point of a sexual relationship and that she is the only girl on the show that is still a virgin.

Hopefully, the writers will do more with her character because so far they have not been kind to Bonnie.  There is so much I would like to know about her, her family and her ancestry.

Jeremy was in love and still loves Anna, but she died and they never got to say goodbye. They were divided suddenly and violently.  I still think it is ridiculous that a ghost of a loved one would break up a relationship between two people that are living, or that jealousy would even become a part of it.  Jeremy needed to have the chance to express and explain his feelings and not be ignored or ridiculed.  It is hard to believe that Bonnie did not have the inner strength, capacity, or self esteem to deal with that fact.  Bonnie is no where near ready to start up with another romantic relationship.   As a matter of fact, considering this guy shows up with Bonnie’s mother, he could end up being a brother that Bonnie never knew she had.  Now that would be an interesting turn of events.  Hopefully, Bonnie and Jeremy will be able to move past this in a mature manner and actually have a “true” romance.

I don’t think Bonnie’s parents are actually divorced, her mother just left.   In a conversation between Grams and Bonnie in season one, Bonnie’s father did not want Bonnie practicing witchcraft because of what happened with her mother.  Also, I am not sure, but it is possible Bonnie’s father is a non-practicing warlock, if so, I would not be surprised.

I thought that Bonnie is still a virgin, which is why this love interest thing makes me nervious.  I hoping if they plan to have Bonnie lose her virginity they don’t have her hook up with some guy she met on a road trip, that seems icky to me.

  • Anonymous

Agree.  Bonnie has high standards and there is no way the writers should have her loose her virginity to a casual relationship.

Considering the reports are always about a “love interest” for one of the cast member and then it never actually takes place (Luka as an example), I’m not getting on board with “it is over before it even got started between Bonnie & Jeremy”.

  • Anonymous

Bonnie definitely hates vampires, but she is willing to work with them for the greater good and for Elena.  I do not think her friendship with Caroline will ever truly be the same, but at least she is trying because they grew up together as friends.  As for the Salvatore Brothers, Bonnie will always look at them as the outsiders.   Bonnie’s standards are way too high to ever allow herself to be involved in a romantic relationship with a vampire  It simply would not happen.

  • James_Evers

I’m sorry but I have to say this about Jeremy. He had two months, TWO months in which he knew he was seeing both Anna and Vicky and yet he said nothing. Had this been a week or two, I’d be more understanding, but this all didn’t happen so quickly that he couldn’t have told Bonnie what was going on. That’s Jeremy’s fault. I get that he was processing his feelings for Anna but as I said, he had the information for awhile.

  • Anonymous

Bonnie was at her father’s family for two months over the summer.  Jeremy was waiting for Bonnie to get back.  In his defense, when he did try to explain what was going on Bonnie did not want to hear it.  She was too jealous of a dead person and that was very immature of her.

I suppose this is an area that we will have to agree to disagree, but I do respect your point of view.

  • CheckeredYcats

Jeremy wasn’t communicating with Anna or Vicki for two months. They would just pop up and scare the crap out of him. He didn’t start communicating with them until right before Bonnie got back. And he told Matt that he didn’t want to tell Bonnie because she would feel horrible about it because she was the one that caused it (I’m not blaming Bonnie, but she WOULD feel horrible about it)

  • anonymous

yeah. they never even got a love scene unfortunately.

  • Anonymous

I have decided that I am very disappointed that they are giving Bonnie a love interest sooooo fast.  I was hoping now that Bonnie and Caroline are single we would get more character development for both ladies.  It is really starting to bug me that every woman’s identity on this show is tied to a ship.  Besides, Katherine, every woman is defined by the man is in a relationship, annoying.

  • ktita

4 words for you all: HE CHEATED ON BONNIE!!!
Only that says it all, She brought him back from the dead and he had the audacity to cheat on her…so I’m not sorry for Jeremy. Bonnie deserves WAYYYYYY better! end of.

  • Lisa

I think it’s a little hard for us to understand what Jeremy was going through, and I don’t think there’s a rule book about girlfriend ghosts.  In my opinion, Bonnie was hard on him.  He loved these girls and they were killed, like many others in his life.  He’s lost his parents, his aunt, and two girlfriends.  He had the opportunity to reconnect with one of these people. I’d be surprised if he didn’t kiss Anna.

  • Malaika Hamadi

I agree with 99% of everyone here.
I love Bonnie every since I saw her on the first episode. She really hasn’t been very happy for a long time and I do believe that her character on the show isn’t getting much respect. It’s like she’s random. Like she’s just thrown in there to make everything look good. I love Robert, as an actor but not for her love interest.
Bonnie needs some fun, more of an actually story line. She DOESN’T have a proper background we know about and she deseres one. It’s very frustrating to continue to watch the show knowing your favourite character could or may not be in a episode cuz there’s nothing for her to grow as.
