We’ve added the synopsis for episode 4, “Family Ties” to the episode index – if you’re avoiding spoilers, don’t click that link. ;) The episode was directed by Guy Ferland and written by Andrew Kreisberg and Brian Young. You can find more information about the episode over in the Spoiler Zone in the forums.

For those of you who missed Damon in the promotional poster we posted on Wednesday, fear not, he’s back for this brand new poster from the CW. There are also some textless images from this shoot in our gallery.

Game on, Elena

Finally, yes, we do know about the Tyler Shields photoshoot story. It is what it is. Moving right along now.

They really get good directors. Guy Ferland directed some episode of Sons of Anarchy.

So I’m guessing that Katherine’s ring has been replaced by the necklace that Elena’s wearing.
Looks great, would love to see a close up, but I suppose I’ll have to wait a bit until episode 4.

Maybe that isn’t Elena, but Katherine?? Katherine did in fact where a lapis lazuli necklace.

  • Shadowkiss13

It’s Elena as she’s wearing the necklace in one of the photos from episode 4 and looking back over the stills for episode 3 there’s one of Stefan hanging it round her neck.
But if it is replacing Katherine’s ring then I’d like to know why it’s got a ruby stone instead of lapis.
Gah! Will just have to wait and see I suppose

Yeah, this is the problem of knowing the original story something is based on – you never know if you might be placing too much (or the wrong kind of) significance in something. Kind of fun having to wait and find out, though. :D
