The Vampire Diaries TV Series: The Last Dance (very vague) spoiler round-up: EW, TV Line & E!Online(NOTE: I’m just going to be updating this post with links as they roll in – because they keep rolling in.) Following up Zap2It‘s (extremely cautious) preview of The Last Dance (EP218), Thursday night’s new episode of The Vampire Diaries, a few more media outlets have jumped on the teaser train. Can a TV show make you wanna throw up from anticipation? We’re starting to feel that way…

TV Line’s Ask Ausiello:

Question: I have a Smurf under a knife… don’t make me use it! Vampire Diaries scoop is required to set him free! —Janelle
Ausiello: In Thursday’s ep, Elena and Katherine will be tortured at the hands of Klaus/Alaric — but in very different ways. Release the Smurf!

E!Online Spoiler Chat:

SourceAmbs: I’ll keep it simple. Please give me anything on Vampire Diaries!
Then we shall keep it simple, too. Someone will be dying. Elena (Nina Dobrev) will be crying. Stefan (Paul Wesley) will be smoldering. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be creepin’. Oh, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) basically tells Stefan he sucks at the one thing he’s supposed to be good at…protecting his lady love.

Entertainment Weekly’s Spoiler Room:

I’d love some Vampire Diaries info. Pretty please! :) — Mary
Guessing what’s going to happen next in Mystic Falls is often moot — the twists and turns always catch yours truly by surprise (in the best possible way). That said, Kat Graham has a warning for fans: “By the time the season finale happens, a lot of people’s judgments of characters are going to change.”

TV Guide’s Mega Buzz:

When will we actually see Klaus on Vampire Diaries? — Joey
NATALIE: Not until April 21, but in this week’s episode — which also includes a shocking death — Klaus will use Alaric’s body to infiltrate the group. He’ll discover what Katherine couldn’t tell him, no matter how much he tortured her: Bonnie is one powerful lady now, thanks to 100 dead witches. Expect not only a double cross while trying to take down Klaus, but a triple cross. So much crossing!

BuddyTV: 5 Questions and Answers About ‘The Last Dance’:

Question #1: How bad-ass is Klaus?
Answer: Very. Not only is he incredibly funny, but he’s also vicious and cruel in a psychological way. When Jules and the werewolves showed up, they were all about torturing and killing. Klaus comes up with far more devious plots, first in dealing with Katherine and later in the way he taunts Elena like a snake playing with a mouse before devouring it whole.

KSiteTV:

There is at least one moment in this week’s episode, “The Last Dance,” where I jumped out of my seat in surprise. There’s also something that had my jaw dropping to the floor for several minutes. TVD is a show that is not afraid to “go there,” and just like I said that every episode seems as big as a season finale; it also means that season finale-level moments might happen within. If you’re really emotional, get tissues ready. Your emotions WILL be toyed with.

TV Overmind:

Klaus is scary. Wait, I don’t think ‘scary’ is an accurate term for this man. He’s sinister, nefarious, and relentless, but not necessarily in that order. He’s made his mark on Mystic Falls and the man is just getting started. When Katherine begs for Klaus to just kill her at the beginning of the episode, I could see perfectly well why she made such a request by episode’s end. Just when I thought I knew what Klaus’s plan is, I was served with a backhand slap of a plot twist. My face is still burning.

I now am almost sure it is Matt/Caroline that will exist no more. The TV Overmind says that their costumes are a “sad omen” of what is to come of the couple. Dressed as the Kennedy’s is a tell tell sign that one of them wont make it, seeing as ho JFK was assinated! :(

If the writers do not put Elena and Damon together, or at least into a REAL triangle where she is in love with both brothers (as it should be), then someone NEW needs to be brought in for Damon.

i think jer’s gonna b the 1 to die, because elana is so upset, and he is not in any of the stills for ep 19 or 20,so maybe its him, that would be shocking, more reason for bonnie to kill klaus, think damon will double cross stephan over elana some how,and i think greta will double cross klaus maybe? and well matt and liz are double crossing all over the place,me thinks kat may get it sooner rather than later too, wont be any 1 left lol, cant waite for ep,think its gonna be a shocker:(

Um, opinions are supposed to be different, so well yeah I still like Bonnie’s character and sometimes it’s important to maintain a balance in a TV show, everything cannot be about a single point of view; just like real life there is always many sides to one thing. Anyway, I know that the reason I watch TVD is Damon and his epicness, and that will always remain true about me. :)

I’m pretty sure Bonnie isn’t going to make it to the next season, however she’ll be here until the very last episodes. As far as this death is concerned, everything leads up to Jeremy. And I don’t know how I’m going to survive that blow. I cried when GRAMS died, Jeremy, I’m going to stay in all doom and gloom for a freaking week. UGH I really want to believe it’s Matt that dies (because he very well can and SHOULD) , but we all know Elena won’t freak out so much about it, and I keep telling myself that he has his ring, but seriously there is no one else I see Elena getting so upset about. I love Jeremy and i’m stuck in sense of impending doom, just like everyone on TVD is.

Oh shit!!! I didn’t even notice that! That’s really clever on the part of the writers.

Isn’t Andi still in the picture? I liked her and Damon together.

Hi Georgia Peach, I can only imagine what Klaus is going to be doing to Katherine…sounds like it is going to be hard to watch. Really don’t like that he is has her begging for death!

Isn’t it funny how two people can have very different perceptions of things? I completely disagree with you assessment of Bonnie. Like I said, I liked her fine up until S1, Ep 21- yes, Bonnie does do what she thinks is right, but in doing that, she cause a majority of problems for the other characters that I love and NEVER takes responsiblity for the problems she causes. Had Damon wanted Bonnie dead, she would be dead. As to Bonnie being pulled into trouble, she knowingly gets into it all on her own. As to Damon being alive because of Bonnie, in a round about sort a way, maybe in Founders Day, but she put the fire out at the Gilbert shop because Elena was rushing in the building to help Stefan save Damon. As to the fire she lit on Damon in Brave New World, it was completely uncalled for. She told Damon to give Caroline his blood, then when it all went wrong, she blamed him for it. Like I said, I haven’t like her much all season, and if she was gone she wouldn’t be missed by me…..I think this is where we should just agree to disagree?:)

As to any chemistry between Damon & Bonnie, I don’t see it. What I did see is his complete and utter disregard for Bonnie’s safety at the “witch burning ground” last episode. As well as how much he despises the witches in general. (I’m talking about the expression on his face when he stepped off the porch). I honestly believe he considers the witches a necessary evil….much like I do at this point. That being said, I thought Jonas was a complete bad ass, and now this new warlock of Klaus’ makes Jonas look like the tooth fairy……Also, I liked Lucy, Kat’s witch from Mascarade. I thought she had some swagger to her.

I do agree with you that if the writers don’t put Damon and Elena together, than they should give him someon to call his own….I just think that someone should be a new face in Mystic Falls….and most importantly a woman with some “Oomph” to her, not another high school girl.

One thing I like so much about this website is we all get to exchange ideas back and forth on what we think might happen, who we like, who we don’t and who we would just like to get rid of:)

Andi Star-Action News is still around, at least until episode 19 “Klaus”. Apparently there is suppose to be a HUGE scene between her and Damon. I have to disagree with on Andie/Damon due to the fact I cannot take that relationship seriously. Obviously she wanted to have sex with him the moment she laid eyes on him (remember – you can booty call me anytime). Damon has been compelling her and for me, the whole relationship is more comic relief. No….. if the writers don’t develop Damon/Elena or the actual triangle that is suppose to exist, I want him with someone that can love him, keep him in check and not judge, be willing to accept the fact he is in love with Elena…..you know kinda like Rose.

I still get teary over Rose, I really did like her, but I think Andi and Damon are funny together. Yeah I know she is compelled, but at least this way when something happens to her Damon won’t be crying, which means I won’t be either. lol

  • Anonymous

HI GP- This time I get to “ditto” what you just said:)

  • Canderella

Yeah, Rose was so perfect for him and I am still angry the let her die so quickly. He could have learned so much from her and she woould have been such a great companion and we’d still have the triangle cause Damon would never give up on Elena. But Elena might have become a little jealous which would have spiked the whole thing. I know Damon probably didn’t love her – but I certainly did :)
