The Vampire Diaries (Finally) Makes the Cover of Entertainment Weekly! (UPDATED!)

Thanks to the eagle-eyed @epnebelle in NYC, we have our first look at Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder on the cover of the February 17th edition of Entertainment Weekly. And yes, it is absolutely real. Details are scant as of right now, but we expect EW will have more soon now that the cat’s out of the bag, including a nice clean version of the cover. The cover implies there will be three different versions available (we’re speculating possibly one of the three, one of Nina and Ian and one of Paul and Nina, but that’s just speculation) and should be hitting newsstands any day now. Watch this space for more details as we get them!

UPDATE: Entertainment Weekly has posted ALL THREE special covers – and holy crap, y’all. As we speculated, the other two covers are Ian/Nina and Nina/Paul. They’ve also posted a teaser of the feature article.

This week’s EW cover story also features interviews with Vampire‘s stars — Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Paul Wesley — who talk about keeping the love triangle red-hot, where they fall in the Stelena-Delena shipper wars, and all rumors swirling around their real-life relationships.

“…sounds like you were pouting” Ha! Maybe a little. But I was just pointing out the obvious lack of attention other cast members get. I think they’re doing a disservice to fans of other characters by keeping them out of these shoots and promoting the “big three” as the only ones that are important to the show. I think you’re wrong in suggesting that only sporadic men watch the show. Many more men watch the show, it’s just that women are much more vocal about it. I agree with you about the Photoshopping. There’s too much of that stuff going around. I prefer more natural photography. I don’t understand why people feel the need to Photoshop everything. Too many pictures look artificial because of it.

I agree, the writers have to go there. They cannot throw this photo shoot out there and do nothing with it. They have to give the fans the romance between Damon and Elena to finally make the love triangle believable.

I thought the True Blood photo shoot last year was gross. All three being completely naked with blood all over them was hardly hot or sexy. This photo shoot for the Vampire Diaries is very sexual and sensual without the total nudity.

I agree with VampLover1973, this TVD photo shoot puts the True Blood- Rolling Stone Cover to shame.

These pictures made me gasp! They prove that partial nudity is more exciting than complete nakedness because you keep thinking about what’s under those sheets. The photos are so hot and so intimate and because I feel like I know Nina, Paul and Ian I’m embarrassed to look at them – NOT!
