Here it is, Vampire Diaries fans – possibly the most anticipated episode of the show since the last time Nina Dobrev slipped into that conniving corset in Lost Girls. Yes, it’s time for Children of the Damned, airing tonight on the CW, 8/7c. Katherine is coming out to play and we’ve been told to expect major revelations, betrayals, and yes, costume pr0n galore. Twitter will be on-freakin’-fire tonight, so don’t let us down. You saw those previews, right? RIGHT?

    That’s the million dollar question. The reason for the hiatus is so that TVD isn’t running new episodes against the ratings juggernaut that is the 2010 Winter Olympics. The last new episode is February 11, Episode 14: Fool Me Once. The Olympics run from February 12-28, so the earliest TVD would return is March 4, a 3 week hiatus. However, I have heard that the series might not return until March 25. That would be a 6 week hiatus before they air the final 8 episodes for the season. If I were them, I’d bring it back and soon as possible.
