Good for KW. I understand the need to be gracious and diplomatic when the media start trotting out the same 'ole tired comparisons, but there's something to be said for this show having its own unique fan base and not merely courting that of another series.

A few days ago, I stumbled across someone's recent video blog about The Vampire Diaries. She was in her mid-to-late 20s, blunt-cut bangs, tattooed arms, and halfway through the video she addresses the claims that TVD ripped off Twilight. Her response was to light a cigarette, take a drag, look into the camera and say, "Shut the [blank] up." I think I laughed for five minutes straight because it was *such* a perfect summation of that generation of fan.

Rock out with your shock out, TVDtv. We're not *all* just in it for the pretty.

Oh, that's good that they emphasized that TVD is *not* Twilight for TV - I've seen so many articles make that assumption, and show they did not do the research.

But ooh, that's a nice that they mention the mysteries and say it could get bloody... let's hope it does. XD
