There are quite a lot of murmurings around the internet speculating on Vampire Diaries being a likely pickup at the CW. We’re not reporting them all to you simply because they all say the same thing, and we don’t want you to get bored. However, Variety are reporting an interesting little tidbit that we thought you might want to know about:
In other pilot buzz, the evidence that CW is about to greenlight the “Melrose Place” redo and pilot “Vampire Diaries” mounted as both shows were aggressively shopping for staff writers and producers. CW unveils its lineup on Thursday.
It seems that things are looking more and more in favour of the TV series happening. Roll on Thursday!
11:57 EST: The Hollywood Reporter says The Vampire Diaries was “given permission to begin staffing, the clearest indication yet by the network that [the] series will be picked up.”
