They may not be able to get Sara Canning’s name right, but The Hollywood Reporter has tapped The Vampire Diaries as a “pilot building buzz.”
Don’t get too comfortable yet, though – the article states that while all six CW pilots are “tracking well,” only the new Melrose Place and Gossip Girl spin-offs are considered a sure thing:
The competition will be fierce for the remaining couple of slots, with “Light Years,” “A Beautiful Life,” “Body Politic” and “Vampire Diaries” all said to be in contention.
