We’ve been waiting on word about this since it was announced that Warner Bros. would be holding a Pilot Preview Night on Wednesday, 6-9 p.m. at Comic Con, and now we can confirm:

The Vampire Diaries pilot will be shown in full at Comic Con at both Warner Bros.’ Pilot Preview Night on Wednesday, July 22nd AND at The Vampire Diaries panel on July 25th. (Source: E! Watch with Kristin)

UPDATE: Televisionary brings us the full WB press release – Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and Nina Dobrev will be there, along with Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, and Bob Levy. Here’s the panel blurb:

The Vampire Diaries Pilot Screening and Q&A – Join The Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Paul Wesley (Killer Movie) and Ian Somerhalder (Lost), along with executive producer/writer Kevin Williamson (Scream), writer Julie Plec (Kyle XY) and executive producer Bob Levy (Gossip Girl), as the series makes its Comic-Con debut with a screening of the much-talked-about pilot and a Q&A. This edgy and romantic new drama, in which two vampire brothers – one good, one evil – are at war for the soul of one girl, is based upon the best-selling book series of the same name.
