Definitely the best episode yet! I didn’t see it coming (since I haven’t read the books), but I loved revelation that Katherine is a vampire! Who doesn’t love a sassy woman with fangs?! It reminded me of Bill and Lorena in True Blood – another powerful female vampire maker. But Lorena always seemed a little desperate and pathetic, so I hope we get more flashbacks of Katherine displaying her nefarious powers.

Any hope that she might make a return appearance? I mean, do we really know she is dead-dead? I’d love to see her and Vicki team up – I have a feeling Vicki could use some female mentoring so she doesn’t just get stuck in the cross-hairs of Damon and Stefan’s eternal power struggle.

Looking forward to all hell breaking loose on all hallow’s eve (or thereabouts).
