The book is awesome but the way you guys are making the movie/show kinda messes it up. Elena is suppose to be blond with blue eyes not brown hair n she has a 4 year old sister not a brother, Bonnie’s hair is curly n short … i just hope that the show comes out as good as the books -_- …. but i still LOVE IT AND CANT WAIT TO WATCH IT.

God, how ironic, as soon as I comment somewhere else, something about the Salvatores and say “sorry, WHITMORE”, I see this! Oh well, I’m happy (:

And about Stefan’s name, does she mean that it’s officially pronounced “Stef-uhn” and not “Stef-ahhn”?? Like, told by LJ Smith? Because, if it is, my friends had better never see this thing.

Doesn’t mention anything about the town founders that I remember. Just that Stefan and Damon are from there during the civil war era.

That is stupid then. They should stick with the bloody Whitmore name and re-brand the show. The more silly changes they make away from the books at least it is more like a completely new direction than a pale, weak imitation of the books.

I’m almost thinking it is because they feel audiences couldn’t deal with it. Which is horrible, but I’m almost 100% certain that it is something to do with stupid audiences.

Well YAY! I would rather have the names Americanized than completely changed. LOL I guess they wanted to make it less Italian sounding since “Mystic Falls” (it still pains me to write that) is their home. hmm. At least it is Salvatore. I feel SO much better…but I mourn “Honeycutt” still.

Better. Still not great, definitely still not to the point where I’ll watch it, but it’s a step in the right direction. Although I’m REALLY curious as to why they decided to mispronounce them intentionally (which will make me cringe almost as much as hearing “Whitmore”) – what’s the reasoning?
