And, I’m sorry, but could Paul Wesley be any more… you know… boring, and… like… lifeless? (Um, although I guess the latter is kind of the point.) Though he does look good in that suit…

I don’t think I’m ever going to really get used to it. It is just odd that our tight-knit community is now exploding with action.

First, I know that this is off topic, by why is Sydney back on Melrose Place? She died. She got hit by a speeding car on her wedding day. There was a freaking funeral…Ugh…

But, Westley is somewhat growing on me. At least, he seems to understand what the Steffie character is. Nina can’t even comprehend what/who Elena is in the interview above.

Sometimes I wonder about fandom – that one of the most beloved scenes in the series centers around a sexual assault. But that scene is so vital, and Elena’s *so* competent and proves she’s a fighter even *after* Stefan shows up. And Stefan is just – guh. It’s not even about being a so-called “knight in shining armor”; it’s about Stefan’s loss of control. That there’s really so little that separates him from Damon when it comes down to it.

Perhaps the circumstances will be different, but yeah, I can think of a few easy scenarios right off the top of my head where the graveyard beatdown can still happen. It may not be the catalyst for Elena and Stefan’s relationship, but it could certainly bump it up a level or two.

Or so very, very right!

Is it just me or doesn’t he come off as a bit less then bright? And far too old for the part (among other things). I wonder if any of the cast have read the books- I’d have thought that a good actor would WANT to better know and understand their character. Or is that too much to hope for?
