I think stefan and damon are good, I’m a tiny bit mad about Elena, not that she’s not a good actor, it’s just her looks. Pretty? yes. Elena? no. Blonde, beautiful and blue-eyed shouldn’t be that hard to find… Bonnie on tv, is to serious, she should be more bubbly. Caroline is to friendly, she needs to bitch it up. Tyler, matt, jer etc. is OK. Meredith? Anyone seen her…? Well you can’t get everything here in life…
Oh and Elena…She is just a bit to nice, she isn’t a complete saint in the book.

I haven’t read the books like any of you guys…. but i sure as hell have watched the show! i can’t really comment on the characters, but what i am going to say is that i think it is amazing!!!! (even if i don’t know the background story, or what the characters are supposed to look like)

I guess they’ll do what Gossip Girl did with Vanessa and bring Merideth in in a later episode.
I’m not really pleased with the casting for Stefan and Caroline but I guess they’ll do. For the description of Caroline on the cast page they’re going for a frienemy thing between her and Elena unlike the book in which Caroline switches completely from friend to enemy.

biggest disappointment was probably damon =[ mainly cuz he is my fave character =D

i mean he’s better than the rest but even then………eurgh!! seems like the guys trying too hard, whats so hard about being black haired and black eyed seriously. e

stefan……….aghhhhh =O he is TYLER i swear he wouldve made THE perfect tyler eva. n he the guy who plays tyler cud make an ok stefan. or even the guy who plays jeremy would be close. but not this guy NO WAY !!!

i cud go on n comment on each character since none of them r even close to the description. i mean how difficult is it to get the hair colour rite, tht wud b close enough 4 me.

pre=schoolers could do a better job at picking the cast than these guys!

well nothing more to it is there, just c how it turns out ……….still wanna watch it *sighs* love-hate relationship with this pilot :@

no the guy playing stefan definetely doesn’t seem like a matt to me, acutually he’s not the perfect stefan but i think he fits well. the guy playing tyler is perfect and matt is pretty good too. im not sure about the girl playing caroline, i hope she can play a bitch well and i hope bonnie will play “bonnie” well.

Okay so at first I was skeptical about the casting, but now its looks good after watching the trailer. Damon is GORGEOUS. Elena I’m kinda mad she is total opposite the description in the book, but she’s pretty and seems like a good actress. Even Bonnie is beginning to work alright for me. I am still pissed Meredith isn’t in it, but I’ll live. I think if everyone takes a deep breath and give these people a chance it can work. Can’t wait for the series to start =)

Even blonde, Candice Accola screams Bonnie to me. It’s bizarre. It’s just such a Bonnie expression in that pic!

Red might hit me for this, but the guy playing Stefan seems more Matt-ish than Stefan-ish. Not that he’d be the perfect Matt either. But it would be a better fit than Stefan.

Actually the guy playing Tyler could be a better Stefan.

And why isn’t the girl playing Caroline playing Bonnie?!

…can we play musical chairs with the TVD cast?

Considering she spends a lot of time as a redhead, slap it back on and she’d pretty much be Bonnie to a T. It’s a little disconcerting to see Caroline’s photo be so bubbly and Bonnie’s be so stoic.

Eugh, I hate the casting for Stefan so much. He’s like a young Bruce Campbell. I like Bruce Campbell, I just don’t want him playing Stefan.

Meanwhile…that chick who’s playing Caroline is SO CUTE OMG. I wanna eat her up. She IS a raspberry sundae, and I have no idea, at least based on appearances, why on earth she is not playing Elena.
