IMG DESCZap2It‘s Carina MacKenzie checks in with Ian Somerhalder about Damon’s rough start coming out of the Vampire Diaries Season 2 gate and all that entails, including his (seemingly broken) friendship with Elena, what Damon and Stefan have in common, and the manipulative and stylish elephant in the room… Katherine. He also previews tonight’s episode, Memory Lane:

“The flashback stuff is really cool – it’s always cool. We learn a great deal from Katherine,” Ian says. “There’s a lot of exposition about what happened, but then again, like with Damon last year, you have to consider the source of your information. With Damon, you get some of the truth, but not the whole truth, and Katherine, like Damon, is very convincing.”
