DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT* SEEN THE LATEST EPISODE. I don’t think the writers of The Vampire Diaries know how invested some of us have become with the Originals. When the rest of the Original family was brought in on season 3 I was excited about them from the get go. I immediately had a special place for all of them. I never needed time to “like” them. I just did. Everyone. Elijah, Klaus, Rebekah, Mikael, and then Finn and Kol. I was angry when Mikael was killed but I understood why he had to die. His children had been running from him for their entire immortal lives, so I could except that loss. I was furious when Finn died. I could not understand why they would allow him to be taken right after introducing us to him. I wanted to see more of him. I really connected with Finn and to this day I missed him and wish that he could be in the show. I wish they would have tied in the bloodline dying storyline with Mikael’s  instead of letting it be done with Finn… that way he could be here now. And now… there are absolutely no words to express the pain and anger that I feel over the loss of Kol. I sobbed more than any normal fan would. I cried like I had loss someone personally. It was personally and I hate that they let his demise be done this way. He should have been entwined into the Original spinoff. I am devastated. I cannot fathom this… why let it happen to begin with? SHANE KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE THE CURE IS. Kol should have been daggered. My heart is broken.

Hi, what is the raiting for this episode??

  • Holly

Deaths of characters SHOULD make you feel things. Otherwise, why do it? If they only killed off characters that didn’t matter, there’d be no tension.

I’m sorry you’re taking this very hard, but TVD has a habit of killing people off, and will surely continue to do so. Getting attached to anyone besides the main 3, probably not a good plan. And remember, its only tv and only fictional people.

I fully agree with you. It’s a pity that all those interesting characters get erased so soon after appearing the first time, but with Kol it’s worst. There could have been so many more ideas to work with him, and he’s as interesting as Klaus (which means a lot if I say that) because he does definetely not follow the daily routine. He just makes his own thing without even considering another solution that would be less painful. But at the moment, I think, we can expect some nice suprises by Rebekah after she started to trust Stefan. In some way, she resembles Lexy, as Stefan mentioned. And the latest episode was Klaus’ most emotional part in the whole series. He even cried, or was at least obviously sad and desperate. If you think about it, you can’t say anymore that the Mikaelson Clan is heartless and malevolent. They have their reasons, and although they dagger each other like it was kind of sports, they keep each other company and support each other if there’s real danger. Finn died for his mother (didn’t he?), Klaus daggered his siblings to protect and shield them, Mikael tried to kill his children to deliver them from vampirism and Esther did the same. Or at least tried. Okay, they may fail, but do not give up what is very admirable because of their advantaged age. So, if the Mikaelsons make the series thrilling and better, why do all the members die earlier or later?
    I don’t get it.

Don’t lose hope, we don’t know what are the effects of rising the deaths? Maybe Kol will come back from the death.
